To be honest..if it were Samuel L Jackson in i instead.it woulda been epic
but..I personaly (don't laugh) woulda went for Dolph Lundgren, Drago vs a Pred..that my friends is money
the AvP movies don't deserve all the hate either, the first was too talky..and no set in the future..cosWS Anderson didn't wanna takefrom te game/comic mythology cos he wasnted to get away from all that thing of doing movies about games (the one time he picks one that would work..and.he doen't do it..crazy ) and the second.. to be honest..bad lighting and the teen romance.. apart from that..i enjoyed em

I like to pretend this movie doesn't exist. Firstly, Danny Glover is NO substitute for Arnold. Secondly, I like the concept of turning the Predator loose in an "urban jungle", but damn it, the whole mythology of the creature is hinged on the fact that it looks for WORTHY adversaries. How in the BLUE hell does it go from a squad of commandos in the jungle, to Danny GOD DAMN Glover? Just curious. What did you think of Adrien Brody in Predators? I saw where many people thought he was miscast (even though he pushed for the role because he wanted to prove himself) and can understand why someone would go "That guy is fighting the Predator?" but I thought he did a decent job at the hero in that film. Which is my long way of building up that I enjoyed Glover in Predator 2. Maybe I'm just easy to please, but the way the story was given (with the Predator being younger, seemingly less experienced, and more aggressive than before) it worked that an aggressive cop with home field advantage and a nice collection of guns could stand a chance. Really glad to see the response to the thread.

I know there are people out there who thought it was a bad choice to put him in that type of movie. But I think that sometimes you find that actors that aren't normally associated with those kinds of roles do very well when they are cast in them

I personally love when actors are cast against type.

If a movie with Danny Glover, Bill Paxton, Gary Busey and Morton Downey Jr is wrong I don't wanna be right

I didn't think anything was wrong with it. It was a worthy sequel. I agree. It was great for what it was. I think it's a very cool little film, a bit cheesy at times, sure, but very fun and a lot better than most sequels. In some ways it's a lot better than the original - even more brutal action, more character development for the humans and the Predator, a much more polished Predator design and more insight into Predator society (I'm not interested in seeing a lot of this generally but they got it just right - the Predator's should remain mysterious IMO). Also, this film introduced the concept of Predators allowing subjects that encounter them to LIVE. To hell with that. These things are supposed to be merciless hunters, and yet something in poor ol' Glover's eyes cause them to say "Awww....screw it. Let him live." B.....S. I have to say I agree with this point a bit; I hate the idea of Predators and humans getting along. Humans are nothing more than a challenging kill to a Predator like a Buck or something, we aren't equals who they want to befriend. That's why the whole "Predators built human society for some reason" (seriously this makes no f***ing sense at all) and the human/Predator team up in AVP was so jarring and horrible. I can let the end of Predator 2 slide as I consider that one Elder Predator who gave Glover the flintlock pistol as a more liberal one off, not representative of the species as a whole. I also like to think it was more of a "I'll get you later" than a "let's be friends". You'd think that guys like Glover and Arnier who had killed a Predator would now be worth a lot more as a trophy than anyone else and more Predators would be looking to take them down in future. On a side note I though that Predators was pretty much terrible and this film is a lot, lot better.

predator = alien predator 2 = aliens suuuuuuure, the action is wild and frenetic, it's noisy and brainless ..... but hell, if it's got a fat danny glover running in 110degree heat, while a mad predator mucks about in downtown LA in the near future ..... and THAT subway train attack (literally craps all over HIGHLANDER 2's one!), and basically the second half of full-on action ..... MASSIVE fan of the second one, there's nothing wrong with it in terms of action movies ..... but i like LAST ACTION HERO ..... so what do I know *big fan of LAH ;D *

Loved Predator, loved Predator 2, enjoyed Predators. Predator was by far the best of the three, but 2, despite the hate by some, was a good movie. I liked it.
