Sheed was quoted this afternoon saying that he's staying retired.
As for the trade I think that Ainge was concerned about Perkins signabilty and/or injury and felt that they needed to get more athletic against Miami and Chicago.
This is going to put a lot more pressure on Shaq and Big Baby to handle the big men, especially since we traded one of the toughest players in the game for this guy:

I have no idea what's going on there. Does Danny Ainge? That's the million dollar question. I can't figure it out. You know, as I've thought about this more and more, I've started to really feel bad for Jeff Green. No Boston fan wants this deal, none of the players probably are in favor of it, and KG is going to crap in his shoes every single day for the rest of the year.

i wonder how denver will do with their new players Well tonight they play the most awkward celtics lineup ever. Who is ready for some Paul Pierce at the 5 spot tonight? How about Von Wafer power forward? It seems like they opened up 3 spots for something. One has been determined to be Troy Murphy. There just something that isn't right about dumping Daniels, Harongody and Erden for essentially nothing.

Apparently the Cavs released Leon Powe to get their roster down to 15 players after their trades. There you go Boston!

The Celtics should totally re-sign Leon Powe. Guy's a future hall of famer!

@spearsnbayahoo: Celtics signed NBDL Dakota center Chris Johnson to a 10-day contract. Looks like Krstic has back-up now. And the Heat go from a 9-point lead to a 4 point defecit at the end of the 3rd by the Bulls. I've said it before, the Heat get into a comfortable lead, but they just don't hang on to that lead well enough. We'll see what happens in the 4th. EDIT: Bosh is 1-15 tonight in the field.

The more I think about it, the more I love how the Thunder has positioned themselves. What Boston did was... baffling, I mean, they get Green, who is great, and Krstic is decent, but yeah, OKC was definitely the big winner there if they can keep the guys.

After a slow start where he looked sluggish and careless, Eddy Guerrero managed to fight back with tenacity to take down Scott Hall at tonight's taping of Thunder, live from his home town of El Paso. Bosh 1-18 from the floor and Miami scored only 36 second half points.

Anyone think that Miami's chances of making it to the finals are almost gone now that the Bulls have beat them twice this season? It's more possible than it was before.

"Gone" isn't the word I'd use, but it is awfully peculiar that the Heat are a combined 0-5 against the Celtics and Bulls, their main road blocks in getting to the Finals. They need to figure out how to break that funk, and figure it out quick, because when April and May roll around, nobody's going to be talking about 20-point victories over Sacramento and Washington.

Who the hell do the Celtics have active tonight?
Garnett, Allen, Rondo, Pierce, and Davis started.
I know Von Wafer and Avery Bradley are on the bench.
Both O'Neal's are hurt.
Is there anyone else there?
