The Cavs beat the Knicks tonight. Never thought I'd type that this year. And the Heat beat the Wizards 121-113, Wade leads all scorers with 41, James with 25, Bosh with 15 on 5-12 FG and 5-5 FT. cavs beat the knicks back in december The Knicks didn't have Melo and Billups, and the Knicks are a different team than they were a couple of months ago.

When you get outrebounded by about 20 in regulation, generally you're gonna lose. Even if you're playing the Cavaliers. So you're telling me that Ronny Turiaf starting at center isn't a good idea? The Heat Vs. Knicks game will be a test for both teams. The Heat to see if they can be a competent playoff team... Playing a team that's two games over .500 and doesn't do anything on the defensive end isn't really much of a test. The Heat should destroy them.

the thing is, he's right, they will need some time to jell. Even so, that should matter very, very little against the NBA's worst team. The other problem is neither Carmelo or Amare is anywhere near as good as LeBron, or Wade. I think people undersell just how good Dwyane is sometimes.
Losing to the Cavs is bad. But for their own sake, the Knicks better realize that they need to play some D. Basketball defense is predicated on two things, coaching and effort. Right now, the Knicks have neither one. And I like D'Antoni, I just wish that the NBA had the equivalent of an "offensive coordinator" for him, because he just doesn't coach defense. Amare and Carmelo both have the physical ability to defend well, they just choose not to. Amare especially, you see he averages over two blocks a game, but he's like the anti-KG - uncommunicative, lazy on help defense, bad at defending pick and rolls, etc.
