"It was gr8 seeing the WWE gang @ Tribute show. Got some business done too. Seems there may be a future w/the WWE & yours truly:-)"
From his twitter. Sorry if this has been posted, I didn't see it.
So what do you guys think? I'm thinking it's a role as GM or some other non wrestling role. Don't wanna get my hopes up about it at all though.

I'd love the guy as a commentator.
Him as a face PBP, with Punk as the Heel color guy.
*sigh* A Man can dream, can't he?

He's about the only person left that could fill in as the Raw GM without there being any gigantic logic holes to cover up.

HBK's teasing coming back out of retirement. I am shocked and awed. [/obvious sarcasm]
If he does come back, can we stop pretending that the retirement match was this all-time, era defining classic, instead of the overly long spot-fest that it was?

It'd be funny if ten years later, HBK ended up in the commissioner spot yet again.

"I hate Bret Hart" I mean...it'd make sense except for the fact that the two made up on screen. It'd be really douchey of Shawn to suddenly decide he still hates the man. No. That match was amazing. And I'm a guy that appreciates stuff like Misawa vs. Kawada. Would the match have somehow been better if there was 10 minutes of chin locks interjected?

They've really booked themselves into a corner with this GM deal.

Not particularly, it was an average match as it was, but if any two guys OTHER than HBK and 'Taker had had that match, they'd have been ripped to shreds for having "no psychology" and just going "spot, nearfall, spot, nearfall" ad nauseum.

More or less, as I am a huge fan of the HBK/Taker series of matches, I just hate when people have a send off of a retirement, then come back competing later. It really does kind of lessen the impact and quality of the match from a retrospective view.

I see a guest host spot, a HOF appearance or a Wrestlemania segment. He isnt coming back for real.

HOF appearance, along with maybe taking over as GM from whoever the anonymous GM turns out to be.
Or, hell, put him on commentary. I'd love him and Punk taking over for Raw.

Wasn't there report awhile back that Shawn and Hunter were expected to take over the front office and run things? With Hunter getting the office, I have a feeling Shawn's getting close to getting his office job.

Probably, but sometimes the spectacle and buildup is part of what makes a decent match great...that's what all the promos are for anyway. Much like the praised Joe vs Kobashi match. Replace the two of them with two random wrestlers and have them work the exact same match. Still good? Yeah, but just "good".

Eh, Undertaker / Michaels was a good match, but it's still one I think shouldn't have been done, that I was never interested in, and that wasn't nearly as good as people hype it up to be.
Granted, I think the same two things about their 25 match. That match really was damn good, though.
As for the subject of Michaels, I'm not particularly interested in seeing him come back. His last three or four years I usually just found myself dreading whenever he would show up. The guy can sure as hell go in the ring, but he doesn't particularly entertain me.

Good stuff. He'll never wrestle again but I would like to see him on my screen. Looking forward to seeing what this is.

Him as a face PBP, with Punk as the Heel color guy. And for the record, I thought HBK vs Taker at WM 25 was far better than the sequel which, while good, is not in my top couple of matches of the year.

I think an HBK/Punk commentary team would be horrible, and I love both guys.

But that's what Misawa/Kawada was all about. Big spots and nearfalls. I'd be fine with HBK in a (neutral) GM role, so long as he doesn't do like Flair did and keep getting into brawls. Maybe the odd Sweet Chin Music on a lower-card heel, but that's it.
