MVP and Giant Bernard are both tweeting about the Earthquake. They're OK, their Twitter accounts are @the305mvp and @giantbernard.

Scary thing.
In some spots the tsunami is not putting out fires, it's carrying them. Hell like.

Unbelievable. I am currently traveling in Japan but in the Kansai region (Ôsaka, Kyôto, Nara, Kôbe) and never noticed that an earthquake happened until my parents called me to see if I'm alright. Even now, here in Kyôto, life seems to go on as usual, thus making it almost unreal that this natural disaster occurs in the north of where I am.
Definitely my prayers go out to those living in the area.

Mother Nature has been absolutely dishing out the punishment in the Asia-Pacific lately... flooding in Queensland, earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan... when will it end?

Mother Nature has been absolutely dishing out the punishment in the Asia-Pacific lately... flooding in Queensland, earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan... when will it end? Well that area of the world is a hotbed for seismic activity, especially Japan, where 20 f***ing percent of all earthquakes over a 6.0 occur. Still, this is a lot more activity than we a use to hearing about.

So what the internet tells me is that it's almost 5 PM over in Japan, has this been going on all day over there?

It always reminds me of that line Swayze's character said in Point Break. That every few years, the World reminds us of how powerful Mother Nature is or something like that.

So what the internet tells me is that it's almost 5 PM over in Japan, has this been going on all day over there? Yahoo! said the first quake hit a 2:46 pm Japan time. So roughly just 2 hours.

Also, according to Yahoo!, a tsunami watch has been issued for Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and Hawaii.

Damn, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Fires, Mother Nature just likes to pile it on huh? Feel bad for Japan right now, CNN is talking that they are used to Earthquakes but that still has to be hell to go through
