I liked them, too. Hell, I even like Vaan. Ashe, on the other hand, was annoying. Basch as a main character would have been pretty boring, too, to be honest. Yeah, count me aboard the Vaanwagon too. Particularly when he tells the arrogant Viera to help him or get out of his way. Something of a defining moment for a guy who before had been content to largely leave the lead to Ashe and Basch. I think my problem with 12 is that it spread the lead between those 3, more or less, but unlike 6, we just didn't get enough scenes to make it work. Instead, a lot of that time was spent on things like the political intrigue with the Judges. Interesting, yes, but the result was not feeling particularly attached to the story for me.

It's also pretty uniform that New Vegas is better than Fallout 3. I don't know that I'd get behind this. I've never seen a game freeze as often as NV. Some of the other issues I can understand are due to the engine, but I spent good amounts of time with Oblivion as well as Fallout 3 and never had freezing issues. NV seems to be good for abotu 15:00 or so before it simply locks up. And if I can't actually play a game, it's a coaster.

Silent protagonists are lame most of the time. There are games where silent protagonists work, but most of the time, they end up looking like a complete tool in cutscenes(see: Super Mario Sunshine).

I always like to think that Mario's a mute, and his occasional exclamations of joy or despair are his Helen Keller moments.

Ghost Squad may be my favourite game on the Wii. I freaking love that game.

It's in no way, shape or form a different game than it's predecessor and yet the amount of bugs seems to have doubled.

By the way, count me in on the enjoyment of Final Fantasy XIII.
Actually, count me in on the enjoyment of every single game in the series. I legitimately feel that, as far as the main series goes, every single Final Fantasy has been good to outstanding so far.

Alpha Protocol was a good game with many flaws, but it is by no means bad. New Vegas was far better than Fallout 3 KOTOR 2 was much better than the original. The best RPG ever is Planescape: Torment. Are you an Obsidian employee, by any chance? No of course not. I am not even close. If I were an Obsidian employee I would be encouraging everyone to purchase the wonderful Dungeon Siege 3 due out later this year. A game featuring great fighting action and an intriguing, new story. But I am not advertising Dungeon Siege 3, even though it is great and due out June 17, 2011. (But seriously, I do really like Obsidian's catalogue and just kept thinking of their games.) I have a few more unpopular opinions though: The Witcher is the best RPG since the KOTOR games and was far better than Dragon Age: Orgins. Sid Meier's Civilization bores me, but I love Sid Meier's Pirates! Shadow of the Colossus is the best console exclusive game ever released. And I mean ever on any platform. Halo, Super Mario Bros, Sonic included.

Mirror's Edge needs a sequel. Now. I didn't think that was unpopular. I thought Mirror's Edge was generally quite well-received, both by critics and the general gaming populace.

Uncharted and Uncharted II are both mediocre games with awful stories that serve only a mish-mash of material ripped off from better games/films. Wait, you meant 'incredibly unpopular' right?

Mirror's Edge needs a sequel. Now. This. I had a blast playing Mirror's Edge. Even though I love Sega (My first system was a Sega Master System and I even own 2 Saturns) I hate every Sonic game ever made, hate, hate, hate them.

Not exactly sure if this is unpopular or not but I thought Goldeneye for the Wii stunk.
No matter what configurations I would make, the Wiimote controls were wonky as hell so I mostly used a GC controller(which isn't exactly FPS friendly) or Classic Pro. The maps themselves were pretty bad(Docks being the worst with the oneway room that the other team would camp in.). This game pretty much highlighted what was wrong with Wii's online(no communication features, friend codes, lag that I don't get on my PS3, HACKERS).
I honestly had more fun with The Conduit and that game was a hacker's wet dream.
Another unpopular opinion I suppose would be that I liked some of Turtles in Time: Reshelled's music over the SNES music. I mean sure it's not better than the original arcade music(barring the new boss music which I think sounds awesome), but I'd gladly take it over the SNES version's music which has this obnoxious "bwap bwap bwap" kind of music playing. Technodrome's music, however, is an exception.
Luigi's Mansion was a much better game than Super Mario Sunshine.
Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing is better than Mario Kart Wii simply because you turn off the bull**** factor in that game(ie items and even rubberbanding).

Hmm... slightly unpopular game opinions... I could make a dozen just off of the agreements going on in this topic, I think, but I won't because quantum. =P
-I don't think the Wii is as bad as people makes it out to be. -I think that Ocarina of Time was a very good game for its time, and while certain areas continue to suck vast quantities of ass (Obligatory Water Temple mention), it's still fun to play through. -With that said, Majora's Mask was way better in many aspects (making the NPCs seem genuinely interesting, dungeon design, and overall... feel, IMO) and really only gets crapped on because of the three day "time limit"... and because four dungeons really wasn't enough, although they at least had the sidequests to try and help ease it. -But Link's Awakening is - if not the best - the most fun game of the series, and while I respect your right to have an opinion that says otherwise, I also respect my right to fight you to the death over it. =P
There, that should just about do it...

I like Super Metroid... but like Metroid Prime a lot more. turning it into a first person adventure game was a brilliant idea. Oh, I agree. It's amazing how Nintendo had no faith in Retro Studios during the development of "Metroid Prime", and the series was downright impressive. While the presentation of Samus in "Other M" can be debated extensively and is focused, I consider the fact that she already had all of her powerups (and needed to be told when to use them) alone easily makes it the worst game of the series.

Sucker Punch can do no wrong in my eyes. Every game since 2002 (Never played Rocket) has been really really good. Can't wait for inFamous 2. Can't wait for Sly 4.
