I like Super Metroid... but like Metroid Prime a lot more. turning it into a first person adventure game was a brilliant idea.

Twisted Metal 4's gameplay it's so awesome that I couldn't care less if the stories took a dump on the first two TM games. And this is coming from someone who loves the first two TM games.

Disposable magic in FF8 was a good dynamic.

Disposable magic in FF8 was a good dynamic. I liked the junction system. It was less irritating than the 9 method to me.

I don't think most of LJN's NES games are that bad. THQ has far worse licensed games.

Half Life 2 and the Episodes pail in comparison to the original Half-Life, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift.

Final Fantasy Tactics is boring.

Final Fantasy VII's story just isn't that unique or interesting, it's a pretty average game.
The Capcom vs. SNK series is better than the Marvel vs. Capcom series.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is the third most overrated game ever made. This. I will never understand the insane love it gets. The puzzles were frustrating, the fights doubly so and the enemies cheap, and the entire sand dynamic tended to be unfair; especially when you would fall and rewind, but just have enough to rewind as you start your death fall. Thanks for nothing! I hate grading systems in games. Frustrating or mediocre games like Devil May Cry or Sonic Colors are ruined for me because of this aspect. I really wanted to like DMC, but the insane difficulty coupled with the fact that it grades you when you're struggling to survive, and that you have to get insane combos to even literally keep playing the game, were the last straws for me. Colors, a not-great Sonic game, confused the hell out of me and only further enraged me when it turned my confusion into a D grade (granted, this example is more my fault, it just upset me and made me actively dislike the game).

Forget "No Mercy" and "Here Comes the Pain," Day of Reckoning 2 for Gamecube is the best wrestling game ever invented. While I still say No Mercy and WM2K are the best WWF/WWE games, I do agree that DoR 1 and 2 blow any of the PS2 ones out of the water. Probably the closest any games have come to capturing the fun of the N64 games

Collection quests are always superfluous in games, and we see them way too much now that developers have to pad their games with achievements/trophies. In that way, Achievements/trophies have harmed gameplay of many games that could have been better without them.

Sonic Heroes isn't that bad a game.
Shadow the Hedgehog was judged too harshly because they were expecting a Sonic game. In my eyes, that's like expecting a Wario game to play like a Mario game.

Yeah, Heroes is pretty good. Sonic Colors for the Wii was very fun. Don't know if that is unpopular, just it really was a good time.

E.T. was a bad game... but it wasn't so bad that it'd mentally rape you, like people seem to believe.
