Sonic Heroes isn't that bad a game. Shadow the Hedgehog was judged too harshly because they were expecting a Sonic game. In my eyes, that's like expecting a Wario game to play like a Mario game. Yeah, Heroes is pretty good. Sonic Colors for the Wii was very fun. Don't know if that is unpopular, just it really was a good time. Actually the consensus online seems to be that it was better than Sonic 4. I haven't played it personally, but I'm willing to believe it given that Sonic 4 sucked balls.

Forget "No Mercy" and "Here Comes the Pain," Day of Reckoning 2 for Gamecube is the best wrestling game ever invented. While I still say No Mercy and WM2K are the best WWF/WWE games, I do agree that DoR 1 and 2 blow any of the PS2 ones out of the water. Probably the closest any games have come to capturing the fun of the N64 games I disagree. I can't say the DoR games are terrible, but I just never really cared for them. I don't find them all that relatable to the N64 games, but it's probably because I loved the N64 games and didn't like DoR. I'm a fan of the Smackdown series (though there have been a lot of bad iterations).

I haven't played Sonic 4 but it had weird times where Sonic would accelerate oddly or pop up from a spin or ramp and needs fixing.

Was alright, but really, way too hard at parts, platforming wise, for my tastes, and the music was vastly inferior to the oldie games.

Prince of Persia was actually really enjoyable. Yeah, it was linear as hell and combat was a glorified QTE, but the dialogue, story, environment and gameplay were pretty awesome.

I feel like I am one of the few people who actually liked The Getaway. Anybody remember that game? It was a third person shooter/driving game set in London. I admit that the game had its flaws and the fact that you didn't have any HUDs or maps kind of took points away from the game, but I still enjoyed it for some reason.

Arc Rise Fantasia is actually really pretty enjoyable once you get going. The voice acting is infamous, but it's got some of the most challenging boss fights in modern RPGs, and beating them feels rewarding as hell.

I liked Jak II and 3 more than the original. That's more consensus than unpopular, isn't it? At least Jak 3, I always assumed that was considered the best of the bunch.

Also bashing the 3d Final Fantasies is more old hat than unpopular opinion.

I actually do think the game is decent overall. The platforming and puzzle solving elements were excellent, and the presentation was solid. It's just that the combat system is tedious as hell, and when 40% of a game just isn't fun to play, it's hard to see how it can be considered GotY material.

I don't like games that overstay their welcome.
I'd rather have a great 5-6 hour game then a 10 hour game that grows tedious and boring.
I like to finish every game I start to simply stopping when I had enough is not something I plan on doing.

I get how you mean, though my exception is RPGs, since when I play those, it's usually for a while and I at least go in knowing I'm in for a long haul.

After awhile of playing, you slowly start to realize that almost every GTA game's essentially the same. (I can't speak for the "Top Down" era, as I only got into it in 2003, but yeah) And that's both a good and a bad thing, IMO

If that's the case I never noticed. Seems like most places I've been people preferred the original to the sequels. If it is consensus, though, well silly me yet again.

Final Fantasy X-2, story aside, is one of the best games in the franchise. The battles are much more active and fun than FFX, which is my favorite game of all time.

I think all final fantasies are highly overrated.
