After a couple of years and two unsuccessful online purchase attempts, I am finally holding in my hands a complete in box PAL copy of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
...which makes me realize I paid 85 euros for a Metal Gear game, and now I am ashamed of myself.

I finished Dead Space 2. {Spoiler}I like how Issac is all relived at the end when he forgets the psosition he's in. He's gotta deal with someone he owes an eye to... next game we see him with an eye patch.

Mass Effect 2 is pretty awesome. But I know you knew that.

So, today I had a weird dream. The kind of dream that makes you do things. See, lately, I've been deciding which system, between the 360 and PS3, to focus on this year, as , since I'm graduating and thus will have to start paying off my loans, I won't have many gaming bucks this year, so I'm pretty much only going to be able to support one of the two consoles this year.
Well, I dreamed of Uncharted 3.....and Killzone 3....and inFAMOUS 2....and The Last Guardian...and...I think I think you know where this is going...so, I'll be mostly buying my games for PS3, that includes the multiplatform releases I want this year, like Bulletstorm, Duke Nukem Forever, and Portal 2(and Mass Effect 3).
And today I started that effort by buying LittleBigPlanet 2 from GameStop, and since they had a deal where you can get a DS3 controller $15 off if you buy LBP2 as well, I went and grabbed the red DS3 controller.

It looks like PS3 is the way to go for Portal 2 anyway, what with Steam and all that.
PS3 has an amazing year lined up, I don't really kinect at all with what Microsoft is doing.
Yes, I just did that. Yes, I am ashamed.

Great! I'm glad your dream helped you come to the decision, I'm sure it was a difficult one. Good luck with the effort, and please keep us updated on your progress. I dreamed of some sort of a survival horror/adventure game last night, which I guess means that the only new game I'll be buying for any system in 2011 is going to be Silent Hill: Downpour... this year is going to suck.

Hey, at least Downpour looks to be attempting to try and "get" Silent Hill, and they got the guy who does the soundtrack to Dexter(the serial killer show, not the cartoon) to do this game's soundtrack. ...... It'll still probably suck.....

Well, it can't be much worse than Homecoming. Right?
Also, Downpour's main character is named "Murphy Pendleton", which makes me think he is supposed to be a former indy wrestler who was meant to debut on NXT soon but ended up getting himself arrested and put in prison for some reason. No one except WWE/NXT rookies should have ridiculous names like that.

Also, at the least, it is being made by a Czech studio, and if Czech studios make their games like their film studios make films, well, then it'll be a total mind f***.

If you ignore the fact it's a Silent Hill game, Homecoming isn't too bad in my view.

If you ignore the fact it's a Silent Hill game, Homecoming isn't too bad in my view. It actually isn't bad, but it suffers from the same problem that Silent Hill 4 did....it is a SHGINO, or, Silent Hill Game in Name Only. Neither game plays like the previous games in the series, they both kinda miss the point of Silent Hill, and both are certainly more action focused than other games in the series, especially Homecoming. I will give SH4 props for the ghosts, though. Nearly all of them are unkillable, and the only way to deal with most of them is with those knives, but you have way less knives than there are ghosts, so you have to choose which ghosts you want to knife. And then there was the totally breakdown of Henry's apartment, that was nice too, not exactly Silent Hill-ish, but still a nice touch. And of course, both games have the same problem of, if they weren't titled Silent Hill, no one would give two shits, and might actually praise the games. For example, if Silent Hill: Homecoming was just titled Homecoming and Silent Hill 4: The Room was just called The Room, people might have liked them more. In other words, SH4 and Homecoming get the same reception from me that RE4 and RE5 get as well. They are good games, and in RE4's case, a GREAT game, but they are not really Silent Hill or Resident Evil games, as they completely deviate from the conventions of their series for more action loaded events.

My PSN is ravenite33
Haven't said it before since I'm a virgin when it comes to online gaming. But now that I got my PS3 online due to set of circumstances that boil down to stealing my neighbours WiFi (he's cool with it actually) I may get into it. Especially since I had so much fun playing Black Ops on my friends XBox 360. But I'm still dipping my toe, so to speak.

The only thing that kept me from really liking Homecoming was that you can't invert the camera. I freaking hate when that isn't an option. I played some FPS that didn't allow it once, it was awful.

Is anyone elses game updates taking a long ass time? The new up date for svr11 took forever to download. And the new update for modnation racers is taking even longer.
Though, it didn't take that long when I downloaded a demo last night...

I was assuming it being a brand new PS3 directly out of the box. The first system update took about 5 hours. Uncharted 2 took about another 5... is that normal?
