I 100% agree with this. I am excited for LA Noire but I don't want to buy it until there's some reviews. Because Medal of Honor was supposed to be great but flopped. Thankfully I didn't buy that. Yeah, but MoH was made by EA Games. LA Noire is being made by Rockstar, who can be argued as the Pixar of the gaming world. I think I trust myself in the hands of Rockstar, personally. Plus, they're going to revolutionize the motion capture market. The footage i've seen looks outstanding. Well true. I love Rockstar and they never fail like EA does. I think EA being the maker of MoH was the main reason I didn't want it. I played Army of Two and that was just awful. Amazing graphics but terrible gameplay. They just are so awful anymore.

Army of Two 40th Day was so much better, loved that game. EA is a great company these days, a lot of the games they release they have nothing to do with making, they just publish, and they pick some great games to publish. But they have been having their internal studios make some great games as well. Their track record over the past 3 years is probably 75/25 in favor of good games, with only a quarter being bad or below average. With how many games they release a year, that is a damned good record. There was a time I would not touch EA games, but they got their heads out of their ass, now I buy more of their games than any other company.

It is no coincidence that their turn around came at the exact same time John Riccitiello became EA's CEO in 2007(the year they started turning things around). Riccitiello becoming their CEO was possibly the best thing to happen to them.

I buy NHL every year and that is a damned good franchise, I'll give them that. I think I bought NFS Shift and I think that was them... that was a big letdown.

I got that for Christmas and I've been excited to play it as I heard it was a lot more arcadey like the old ones. But school and work have gotten in the way so I haven't had much time. Only about 3-4 more weeks of school though, chyea!

It is very much like a Burnout game (same team and all that).
