Well... It'll probably be funnier than the original, but really not much of an accomplishment.

I was excited until I saw the words "Seth" and "MacFarlane".
Like we need a Flintstone series with rape joke and pointless pop culture references.

Kind of my reaction. It's a mix of, "Why bring it back in the first place?" and, "Why give it to HIM?!"

I think if he keeps it to the original vision he could do REALLY well with it...
But I remain skeptical until I see a clip.

Barney was voiced by MacFarlene in his appearances on Family Guy so we could look forward to him singing.

Barney was voiced by MacFarlene in his appearances on Family Guy so we could look forward to him singing. Well, we all know how much Barney Rubble had a thing for big band standards. I'm just waiting for the episode in which they introduce Bam Bam and Fred says something about the kid having " 'tard strength".

Have to see how this pans out first, before I can make any kind of firm judgment on it.
Of course again one has to question the wisdom of Seth adding yet another project to his growing list of current creative endeavors. I guess if he feels he can do it without burning out completely, more power to him.

I don't know. Seth MacFarlane seems like to be a smart guy and I'm pretty sure he can make a good family kids cartoon. Look what he created before Family Guy.

That's a random thing to bring back. Does anyone born from the 90s onwards even care about The Flintstones?

Kind of my reaction. It's a mix of, "Why bring it back in the first place?" and, "Why give it to HIM?!" Probably because he worked at Hanna Barbara for quite awhile before launching Family Guy, he was a writer and animator there. He knows and loves HB's stuff I highly doubt this is gonna be "Family Guy in the Stoneage", and I have no issue with him getting the gig. Depending on the audience they're marketing to, they may make it a little more mature but I just can't see them going over the edge.

I can see MacFarlane doing a good job at this. Seth has history with Hanna-Barbera, Due to working at a Animator and Writer for them. He was also a writer for Johnny Bravo, Cow and Chicken, and Dexter's Laboratory.
And besides, there's a better chance, he'll keep this traditional.

The problem though is that's it's on FOX.
I'll let that sink in for a moment.

I don't know what to feel about this. I like Seth and I love Family Guy...but this seems really odd.
This feels like an April Fool's joke actually.
