Mine always seem to change, but I think Eddie Murphy is probably my favorite of all time. He has pretty much sucked for a decade straight, but in the 1980s he was untouchable.
Just his stand up would have been good enough. But he also made 48 Hours, Beverly Hills Cop, Coming to America and a bunch of others.
