I have a problem with the improvised finish though, if you have a pretty good idea he'll be gone a while, give Barrett the win. Then he can gloat about it on TV if you need him to.

House shows are very rarely, if ever, acknowledged on TV. It doesnt matter. They already have an out with Cena getting beat down at the end of Raw.

Well if this is true I would love to see Triple H & Jericho return now. Plus this is the chance some of the mid-carders could get their chance to get into the main event. Daniel Bryan could win Money In The Bank. If this is true this is going to be an interesting situation to see how this plans out. They could have Nexus run wild all over the WWE. Get every title and own it like Evolution did. Who knows what the possibilities are.

They can play it one of two ways...either have Barrett be the conquering hero that got rid of Cena or play up that Nexus and Punk got rid of him and show how ineffective Barrett was. They gotta work an angle out of it somehow and I don't see them burying Barrett over an accident. Cena isn't Randy Orton.

I can see Cena pulling an HBK and staying out of action until Mania, but still doing weekly appearances.

Wow, that's unfortunate. Hope he's able to recover relatively quickly.

Not that I'm happy a performer got hurt, but I am happy if this means Cena will be off TV a while. This will make Raw much more interesting.

We hope it will be more interesting, but these writers are notorious for dropping the ball when they've got a golden opportunity. Not to say that Cena being injured is "golden", but its a chance to build up other guys and put the focus on different people. When Cena tore his pec, it was still same ole shit. Undoubtedly, Hunter will return sooner, Jericho might get lured back with a big offer, and the writing team will tread water for 6 months or however long it is until John comes back.

I didn't know we had this many doctors in these forums that can diagnose somebody without actually seeing the patient.

Really bad timing, oddly enough I think the writing team works more effectively when it's pressured...think about it, they dropped the ball on the Nexus storyline when they got too comfortable with it.

Damn, in that picture Cena looks like he's put on about 20 pounds. And some chest hair. Also his head looks like Kane's.

Hopefully, it's nothing too serious and that Cena was able to leave on his own power can be taken as a positive sign. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise and Cena will get some well-earned rest for a little while.

Apparently, he only left the ring on his accord and was helped to the back with no weight being put on the leg. May have wanted to try it first. The picture isn't telling the whole story sadly.

I'm optimistic that if hurt he won't miss any significant time. Remember when he came back after a huge injury and won the Rumble that year when he was still estimated to out 3 more months? What they'll probably do have him still appear on Raw weekly and probably make an excuse up kayfabewise why he cant wrestle (like Punk getting a restraining order on Cena or something).

I bet Triple H and Jericho will be returning soon now. If Cena is injured past Wrestlemania I bet the main event will be Orton vs. Punk with Cena as the guest ref or enforcer or something along the lines like that. Or cost Punk the match.

To clarify, I think I'm one of the few who wasn't overly excited by the CM Punk/Cena/Nexus angle because I already know the end result. Cena will beat them all eventually. Whoopie. With Cena out, perhaps Punk/Nexus can run the show for a while until Cena gets back, which might make things more interesting for me personally. More mic time for Punk while he's controlling a dominant faction? Yes, please. Sign me up for that.

Unless it is a title match, matches with injuries should be called due to "referee stoppage" like in MMA.
