Why they're airing TNA on a channel that airs old game shows I don't know, but they announced it today.

Only one that they could get? or The Channel is broadening its format.

The fact it's on Freeview is interesting. Opens up a potential for even more viewers in the UK for those who don't have Sky at all.
Why TNA doesn't think of taping a couple of Impacts over here astounds me. Isn't TNA's biggest ever crowd still a UK House Show event? The Wembley 2010 event if I am right.

It would only work if either Les Dennis or Roy Walker or Richard O'Brien does some TNA stuff like one of them replaces Tazz on commentary or better yet if O'Brien and Mumsy replaces Bischoff and Hogan in TNA and Impact becomes a 2 hour version of The Crystal Maze. Then, it could be great watching again.

They've put on their UK facebook page that they will also be airing PPV's and Xplosion on Challenge too.

It was the 2009 Wembley show. Actually, putting wrestling on a channel mainly viewed by old ladies makes sense. (Well, it would if it was 1976.) But seriously, it's a really good catch for TNA, since it'll be available to everyone by this time next year.

Challenge seems such a weird channel for wrestling to be on.
Then again SyFy also shows wrestling which I guess is even weirder.

Absolutely fantastic news. I'm really happy for all the freeviewers and for myself since I don't need to pay £20-£25 a month just watch some wrestling on Sky Sports.

It took a while to get here but this is great for TNA, they should be able to build a nice following now they're on a freeview channel, lot's of casual viewers for the taking.

Wonder if this is enough for Challenge to broadcast in HD?

Looking at the current line up not a lot would be in HD outside of TNA but if they start adding more new programing e.g. Sky's version of Gladiators or Cheep US imports like Price is Right then it's not out of the question.
Let's not forget, this is Sky we're talking about and we know how much they like HD.

Roy Walker on commentry..someone botches a move "its good but its not right"

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Challenge is being rebranded pretty soon to a similar vibe of what Bravo was like, so this may well be a good fit for all concerned.

Damn. You'd think they could have scored a better channel than that. Does anyone even watch Challenge for more than a couple of seconds?
