Stevie Richards just Tweeted that he has quit TNA following a meeting with Terry Taylor and Vince Russo this afternoon.
The sad thing is that I didn't even realize that he was still employed there...........

That definitely sucks. There was a guy who came in in 2009, brand new character and a brand new outlook. He was integrated into TNA, but it's a shame that he ended up having to quit. I'm guessing he was under a contract where if he didn't wrestle, he didn't get paid.

I remember him tweeting a few months before the EV2 thing started that he was sending out resumes so I don't think he figured he'd be there as long as he was

I love Stevie but I lost all interest in him when he dropped the Doctor gimmick and they split him from Daffney. SRS WRASSLOR Stevie is kind of dull.

Aww, as much as I was bored by EV2, I was entertained by Dr. Stevie.

Wonder if Tommy Dreamer going to quit in protest since that the reason why he left WWE; the big mean company fired all his friends and killed off ECW?

I could honestly see Stevie as being the guy WWE would pick to be the new Al Snow for Tough Enough, if he wanted the spot.
He was around the company forever, been around the business forever, has been in all the major companies, is good in most aspects.

Apparently he was Shane McMahon's sparring partner..

Tommy: Dammit, Dixie, you let ANOTHER one of my friends go? This is exactly why I left WWE.... Dixie: Have we mentioned that we added another zero to your paycheck, Tommy? Tommy: Well, ya know, I never did much like Stevie anyways, he was always more Raven's friend than mine...

You guys DO know the difference between fire and quit, right? QFT Also my two pennies are as follows: Lots of posters in here who may complain(not indictating just this thread but the forum on the whole) also may complain about them needing to save money and how much money they spent versus how much of a return they get. That said a wrestler voluntarily leaving saves money. Cutting talent like Taylor Wilde, Raven, Sabu, Sandman ect. saves money because they had their time of use and were not being used so why spend money on something you get no return on?
