I always get a kick out of just about everyone proclaiming that they "always hated Creed". They were HUGE for a few years. They sold a ton of albums. Clearly, someone was buying their albums. (see also: Bizkit, Limp) Sorry, was never a fan of the 'Shitty' genre.

Creed had lots of good songs. Even on "Weathered" and "Full Circle." I am definitely a fan of them. I even liked Scott Stapp's solo album. So bleh.

Do people dislike Creed as a whole, or just that clown Scott Stapp?

I always liked 'Sacrifice' and 'One Last Breath' aside from that I don't think I've heard anything else by them.

i always liked them. My Sacrifice is a phenomenal song. They are preachy, but they arnt bad. But then again I like Nickelback and Creed and Limp Bizkit . Again i think people tend to jump on the hate creed bandwagon because its cool. Listen to more of their songs, they arnt that bad. Of course, that's the only possible reason anyone could hate a band ever.

(see also: Bizkit, Limp) Aint it the truth! I like Creed. As others have said, musically, their incredible. And I really dont mind Scott Stapp. Him being a douche or not bears no meaning to me personally, so I could care less. Exactly. Creed is probably in my top 15 favorite bands of all time.

I like Creed very much. Their first album was one of the better albums I've heard and I thought the last 3 weren't bad either.
And I also think many people hate Creed because its cool to hate bands that become popular.

They have some great songs. One, Torn, and Young Grow Old are all HUGE.

I like Creed. I don't subscribe to the thinking that someone somewhere once decreed that they suck and now I have to follow like a lemming.

I was a big fan of their debut album. But everything went downhill when Scott got so full of himself. They still had some great songs, and are very under-rated. They're much better than Limp Bizkit (for example).

I like a few of Creed's songs, but Good God, I LOATHE "With Arms Wide Open" and "Higher".

Is that really best defense Creed fans can come up with? "Oh you don't like them because everyone else said they don't like them." No I don't like them and I never liked them because they suck. How about this? You say they suck and I say they don't because we're both allowed to have opinions on what music we like. You not liking them isn't going to change me liking them.

Let me put it to you this way... when they come on the radio at the gym everyone stops lifting and starts complaining about the sh***y music... but we do that for Limp Bizkit, Nickelback and every other song they play on the "Hard Rock" station.
Ive noticed a trend of ALOT more people coming into the gym with ipods nowadays ;D

How about this? You say they suck and I say they don't because we're both allowed to have opinions on what music we like. You not liking them isn't going to change me liking them. That's fine. I think the problem here is that it's extremely obnoxious and just a tad insulting to be told that you only hate something out of some need to try and look cool or because you're a mindless sheep like some in this thread are implying. There are many different reasons one might have for disliking or hating a band (or anything really), though it usually just boils down to not liking their music or image. Who is anyone to tell me WHY I dislike something? How can they even prove something like that? I know it would piss them off too if the shoe was on the other foot and I was telling THEM why they dislike something. Because apparently I'm some kind of mind/emotion reader extraordinaire and I know a person's feelings better than them! tldr; I hate Creed because I think their music was balls and Scott Stapp is a twit. That's my reasoning and my reasoning alone.

...I don't know, I enjoyed the "My Own Prison" album.
"What If" off Human Clay was okay...
As they went on, they went from pretty dang good ("My Own Prison" album) to... ugh..., though I did like "One Last Breath". It was my final for a guitar class I took in college the first time I went.
the song "Higher" made me want to punch kittens...
...right in the face...
Yeah, Scott Stapp (whatever the spelling is) was a complete tool. There's no one who can debate that... most Creed hate is pinpointed straight at a dislike of Stapp.

I liked the first two albums, but then they went overboard with the overblown "epic" ballads (my sacrifice, one last breath, etc). Ive heard the newest album is straight up rock but i still havent heard enough of it to make a judgement. Alter Bridge are much better (plus, they provided edge for theme music).

I liked them then, I like them now.
I've never heard a Scott Stapp interview. I don't follow celebrity "news" at all, so I don't know anything about his douche-ness or a feud with Fred Durst. Even if I did, I wouldn't change my opinion of their music.
