And lo, I bring the final post of the previous thread here that the conversation will continue: I guess I'm just too much of a romantic for that. When I want a man it's not for sex, it's to spend the rest of my life with him and get married and possibly adopt kids. Sorry if that sounds overly sappy, but it's the truth. No matter how much I love porn, no matter how much I perv out over guys' bodies, no matter how sex-obsessed I am, I really do want one guy to be my man at the end of the day. Hopefully one who will perv out on guys and watch porn with me. ;D Well yes, all that is wonderful, an frankly, dont we all? But sometimes, you just gotta get laid! (For the record, I'm currently in a relationship and engaged, so I don't have the problem anymore, but still, in the past.....).

You know, I would love to actually get a guy to one day marry and have kids but I'm not desperate. I'm only 19, I've got ages till I get dragged down with love.
But I'm not gonna go around getting laid willy nilly because that's just stupid, reckless and unemotional. There.

Plus I'm freaking TERRIFIED of getting AIDS. I don't trust condoms.

Can't find any good pics but I recently saw him at an IWC show in PA. You could see everything and it was glorious! Plus his ass is incredible. Small around but protrudes beautifully.

There's not much I need sexually that I can't take care of on my own. I'm too dysphoric about my body parts to feel comfortable with other people being around them, anyway. Plus, I'm socially awkward :B I don't really fit in with the gay community anyway, for a LOT of reasons. One being that the gay community can be transphobic as all hell. But even in all-inclusive queer communities, I just... Don't fit in. Whether it's because I'm a punk, because I'm sciencey, because I work with animals, whatever. And I don't fit into punk communities because I'm queer and sciencey, and I definitely don't fit into science communities because I'm a queer punk. You can see the problem And it's actually becoming a huge problem for me on campus, being a queer science major. It's hard to explain. I know it shouldn't matter, but it really DOES, for some reason. It just feels like if you're queer you're expected for that to be the basis for your existence on campus, and you're supposed to be a psychology major, or a sociology major, or a women's and gender studies major. There's just something completely wrong when I'm the ONLY person in the science building who is out as a shade of queer.

That's a lot of queer.
But I think theres a difference between being "queer" and being "gay".
I claim myself to be a gay man, not a "queer" man because:
A.) I really don't like the word queer because it's technically calling me strange, which I am I know but my sexuality to me isn't strange to me.
B.) Being Gay isn't a big part of my life, yes I like Gay Adult Films, I'm attracted to men and I want to get married to the man of my dreams and have many kids. It's just I feel that it's not a defining trait to my personality it's just who I am.
Not a Rant but I just wanted to state my thoughts on the word Queer XD

It's just easier to call myself queer than "pansexual and transgender" because it's less words, and even there I don't think either label really completely describes me. Altogether it's just kind of who I am, and it's something that is more than just a sexuality or a gender identity. It's important to me, but no more important than anything else about me. But... I don't know if it would be as important if everybody else didn't care so much. I don't know if my sexuality would matter one bit if it were something I could just go out and say, if I didn't have to spend years hiding from myself, from other people, from my parents. I don't know if my gender would matter if I could just exist as myself without people telling me that I'm wrong about who I am. I don't know if I'd involve myself in a community that, other than gender and sexuality I really have very little in common with, if we weren't equally striving for being treated as equals by society. I hugely agree that there's a difference between being gay and queer. It's just easier to type queer than a bunch of letters. Can't please everybody

But the word queer is offensive to me like tranny is probably offensive to you. So can you please stop using the word? It makes me feel bad.

Well I no longer feel welcome here. Look, I know there's regional differences, but where I'm from, "queer" is used by the community on a positive level. I am a queer studies minor, I am a part of the queer straight alliance. It's... It's just used as a descriptive word. There is nothing deeper to it. Half of the people I know identify as "queer" because they don't feel that "bisexual" is a word that really describes them. I can totally respect the regional differences, and I understand where you guys are coming from. But I feel like nobody is going to understand where I'm coming from.

I don't see the problem with someone calling themselves queer. I wouldn't because I think it's a silly word to use for gay but if Citten's comfortable with that then it's up to Citten. I dislike all gays being labeled as queers because it does imply that we're not normal. GAY COMMUNITY?!?!?!? is alot funnier anyway. We should get AJ Styles to be our reluctant ambassador.

I can totally respect the regional differences, and I understand where you guys are coming from. But I feel like nobody is going to understand where I'm coming from. Well, that clearly wasn't the point of what I was asking, but equally clearly you bring up a valid point in that the reclaimation of the word 'queer' hasn't made it across the pond. In the UK it is still very much a negative word and not at all used in the way it seems to be in your neck of the woods. I understand where you are coming from in your use of the word, but, I can't say I agree or particularly like the way you, and others that you know clearly use the word. But that, as we have covered is likely because of the language differences between your part of America and the UK. I do apologise if you have been made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, but I do similarly hope that (and to be honest, I have mentioned this before) you realise that as cool and empowering it may be that you feel the word has been reclaimed, it hasnt for everyone and so throwing it around like some throw around the word fag is going to alienate some.
