What are some moves that you just think look stupid, or overwrought, or...well, just bad, I guess? It doesn't have to be finishers/signatures, it could be anything. I'm not thinking spots here so much as just moves in general.
For me, it would have to be the reverse DDT. Aside from the Scorpion Death Drop, I just don't tend to think it, or variations of it, look very good. Sting seems to be the only man who can pull it off and make it look devastating, despite the fact that, in concept, it would hurt like a son of a bitch.
I ESPECIALLY hate the elevated one, like Goldust used at one point way back. Just really bad looking. Not Dust's fault, he's awesome...it was just a shit move.

I liked the Pedigree more when HHH held onto his opponent's arms all the way down. Made it look better and more impactful. Not really a dislike though, since I think HHH changed it due to needing to land softer on his knees or something like that.
As far as something being overwrought to the point of coming back around and being awesome, the Rock's selling of the Stone Cold Stunner was often just that.
But for just silly moves, the spinning toe hold. I mean, really.

I mean, really. if done right (wrong) the spinning toehold hurts like hell, I learned that the hard way as for a move I don't like, the handstand senton onto an anr or leg...mainly because it generally was supposed to be a knee that they over jumped on and when it is intentional it never looks good but most importantly no matter what it legitimately hurts

MVP's "Playmaker" was a move I just couldn't take seriously as an actual finisher. Maybe if he held on and turned it into an armbreaker submission, that would make it seem more legit.
Jeff Hardy's "Swanton Bomb" is another one, just because there are times where he just barely hits his head on the guy (not his body); like when Eddie Guerrero would do that slingshot vaulting "head splash".

The move just doesn't look really all that threatening, despite the harm it can cause. Though I guess that's true of most wrestling moves

That stupid catapult/slingshot move. I cannot suspend my belief at all for it.

The Downward Spiral.
It just doesn't make sense to me.

Triple H has been a little lax in executing the spinebuster also. Batista was guilty of this as well. It's more like the "hold me and I'll set you down on your back" spot.

RVD's top rope one legged dropkick. It looked less-effective then a regular top-rop dropkick, and it looked awkward when he landed. I was always waiting to hear a crack in his leg or hip joint whenever he did it.

MVP's Playmaker and whatever Elix Skipper used to call it. hate that move and don't understand why it is not only used, but used as a finisher. so weak.
the one that popped into my head first was the pump handle. I don't mind the slam part or whatever else they transition to, but I can't stand the pump handle as a method of picking someone up.

As for the moves I dislike: Inverted DDT, including the Scorpion Death Drop. It always looks weak. Reverse Bulldog Any overly flippy top-rope moves. 450 is pretty much my limit, anything beyond that just seems pointless

I hate the Overdrive, it doesnt even connect the person's head to the mat.
Also The Wasteland on Big Show this week on smackdown made me dislike the move.

A guy getting his groin bounced on top of the ropes in addition to the comment: "I hope he doesn't plan on having children."

Overdrive
Reverse DDT
Downward Spiral,it makes no sense to throw yourself to the mat when your opponent's head doesn't even hit.

I'm actually quite surprised people are agreeing with me on the reverse DDT. For some reason I thought it was a reasonably popular move. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks so.
I'm also not fond of the overdrive/playmaker, but that one's more or less a given. It just looks incredibly stupid, and there's absolutely no reason you couldn't just use a normal neckbreaker instead.

The worm/The People's Elbow/Five Knuckle Shuffle/etc. I hate the setup and the time it takes in each case.
Stinkface.
Bronco Buster.
Rock's flying bodypress.

Canadian Destroyer. I honestly can't tell who's supposed to be hurt by that move.
Also any Irish Whip maneuver that involves two or more rebounds.

To be fair, someone smashing an elbow into your face really would be pretty devastating.
