If I said "all mexicans are lazy" then i would be racist, therefore Mexican must be a race (it falls under the geographic description). Technically, no. If you said "Latinos are lazy," then you would be racist. Latino is a race...Mexican is not. Mexicans being lazy would be a stereotype.

That's what I don't get about that interview,!!!! Surely if Eddie and Rey are people who were born in America but who's parents are Mexican their 'blood', 'blood' being a metaphor for heritage, wouldn't be 'diluted' in anyway by living in a different geographical location?!!!! Nobody is saying it's diluted, but Mexican American and American are not the same thing.

But then you get into the whole "What is an American, anyway?" debate, and unless you can trace your ancestry back to the first people to set foot on this continent, you really don't have a claim on the term, technically. And National Geographic did an AWESOME special on the human race where they mapped the "human family tree" and traced every single human on Earth back to "Genetic Adam" and "Genetic Eve" who came from someplace back in Africa. But I digress.

Matt Striker and Alberto Del Rio talking backstage before the 2011 Royal Rumble.
Matt Striker: Everybody knows you never go full Mexican. Alberto Del Rio: What do you mean? Matt Striker: Check it out. Eddie Guerrero, 'Latino Heat,' look Mexican, act Mexican, not Mexican. Lying, cheating, stealing, sho. Not Mexican. You know Rey Mysterio, '619' Small, yes. uses Spanish in a conversation spoken entirely in English, yes. Continually wears a luchador mask on his face even after he lost his mask in a match. But he charmed the pants off the WWE Universe and won a Royal Rumble. That ain't Mexican. John Cena, "Juan Cena." Infantile, yes. Mexican, no. You went full Mexican, man. Never go full Mexican. You don't buy that? Ask Super Crazy's career, "Stereotypical Mexican on lawnmowers in WWE" Remember? Went full Mexican, went home empty handed...

Ray was born in American so he is not Mexican,he is American. An American of Mexican decent but still an American. *looks at post count* Oh,and Hi. Hello, I've never heard of the races being defined like that. I would still think Rey has "full Mexican blood" even though he was born in the good ole US of A. Well, your blood can't really change. There's really no such thing as "American blood" either besides Native Americans. Maybe his mother or father had another nationality in the gene pool somewhere? Maybe when he's saying "full blooded" its not actually referring to blood but more a phrase meaning that Rey is not FROM Mexico.

Bah, everyone knows that Kofi is the only full Mexican on the roster. That explains the change in accent.

Del Rio is Dos Caras Jr., right? I was almost certain Dos Caras is Puerto Rican. Even if Alberto lives in Mexico, he'd still be puerto rican
