I guess breaking up Cryme Tyme since they were a legitimate, popular tag team.
The pirate gimmick was a dead-end, Mr. Kennedy was terrible, London and Kendrick are unapologetic stoners who threw it out there for all to know (not to mention London being a smiling retard), the Invasion was pretty much all it could be with WWF's finest vs WCW's second team, Kurt Angle needed time off for his own sake, and the Miz is awesome.

OK, we've got one of the most over tag teams since the Hardys/Dudleys/E&C...but let's NOT give them the tag titles. How f***ing stupid is that?
The Invasion was bigger though, just SOOOOOOOO much potential.

Other: Nexus
That could have been one of the greatest angles ever and it was fun, up until when Cena joined Nexus and they did nothing with it. There were a few entertaining moments (Like Barrett throwing water in Cena's face) but it should have been developed more with Cena actually being forced to take part in beatings and doing so to save his job.

There's no excuse for the Invasion angle. Likewise, there's no excuse for dropping Pirate Paul. He's a good wrestler and that gimmick was really over, despite having no right to be.

HBK losing the WWF title to Austin at Wrestlemania XIV, forcing HHH to pick the ball up.

The botched Invasion Storyline and the dropping of the "Pirate" Paul Burchill gimmick because Vince didn't know pirates could be anti-heros.

I'd say the Invasion angle followed by Nexus. The poor Invasion angle helped errode the WWE's popularity even further. Once Nexus lost at Summerslam, the WWE killed its momentum. It was too early to have that big of a defeat. I would have had their first big loss as a team happen at Survivor Series.

The Invasion angle is #1 and is generally regarded as the most disappointing angle in wrestling history.
I also voted for releasing Mr. Kennedy, a guy who, while he may have had some baggage, had megastar potential. There's been but two WWE performers over the past decade who I've seriously thought could be Austin/Rock-level stars: John Cena and Mr. Kennedy.

Invasion Angle I think by leaps and bounds was the BIGGEST disappointment probably in WWE history . I mean you basically have the dream scenario of wrestling and it ended up like that no excuse. I mean wrestlers and gimmicks come and go , but a sure money making concept like that is (in my eyes) probably once in a lifetime so to me that just makes it more inexcusable to F' it up so royally.

Miz winning the title is completely out of place with the rest of the list.
Invasion is arguably the biggest "Dropped the ball" moment EVER. You get the dream scenario of wrestling fans and proceed to turn the WCW wrestlers into jokes, and focus more on the infight/squabbling of the WWF superstars.
Breaking up Cryme Tyme was BEYOND idiotic. They were arguably the most over tag time during the period they were together. More over than MNM and London/Kendrick. Why they felt the need to split them up is still beyond me.
Nexus went downhill the moment the group's focus suddenly became about recruiting Cena and making Wade champion.

Letting Elijah Burke go instead of capitalising on his charisma and skills.

Letting Elijah Burke go instead of capitalising on his charisma and skills. That's a great choice. TNA was starting to do this, but for some reason, they thought shoving Ken Anderson down our throats was a better choice.

Other: rushing Hade Vansen into a feud with Undertaker, then getting cold feet about putting him with a main eventer, pulling the plug and releasing him.

Paul Burchill without a doubt. The man had all the skills they need, whether in the ring or on the mic, and a gimmick that was both over with the crowd and genuinely up to date in terms of pop culture. They basically took a big pile of money and burned it. Or, perhaps more accurately, took a load of gold and buried it on a deserted island, then lost the map.
