How much did we all mark a few years back when Trips and Hbk came to ring as DX? Be honest if it's a short run thing and it's good you know you want it I was thinking the same thing. That RAW with the HHH/HBK build up was really great throughout the show actually. I also think if it's not a long term thing, it's all good. Hell, if they can actually keep Waltman clean, he could actually be good in the ring. I mean, he CAN be when he wants to. TNA No Surrender vs AJ Styles, TNA Sacrifice vs Jerry Lynn, hell I even enjoyed him vs Raven at Hard Justice. Waltman calling Raven a pussy rocked! And scotthall187 is da bomb for agreeing with me.

I don´t want another DX ;-(
but IF it will happen, it should be HHH, X-Pac, CM Punk, Ashley and Gunner Scott

"According to Rajah.com, the Dungeon of Doom will be returning soon. The idea came about when Vince McMahon spotted several former members eating out of a Wendy's dumpster." Sounds like we should start a "According to Rajah.com" thread, in the tradition of the infamous "Fan Incident" thread....

A new DX would be a good idea to push younger, new talent. CM Punk anyone? Just have him take X-pacs spot. Maybe so... but new guys will always be compared with the old guys. Ok, we're talking about X-Pac here, so it's not a big deal, but no matter how you look at it, it's still OLD HAT. Rehashing doesn't make the world work!

Damn...no HBK? Religion has ruined HBK... A new DX would be a good idea to push younger, new talent. CM Punk anyone? Just have him take X-pacs spot. Trips doesn't like Punk, so that won't happen.

As much as i enjoyed DX, bringing them back is not a good idea. It can never live up to what it once was. The Outlaws arent coming back, X-Pac still sucks, Shawn is religious, and it would go against the evolution (no pun intended) of Triple H's character.
I think its a good idea in theory, but I cant see any way in which it can be anywhere near what it was in the late 90s. Sounds to me like nothing more than an easy cash grab for McMahon. I hope they can prove me wrong, but we'll see.

It's not a given X-Pac will be clean. This is a bit of a gamble if you ask me.
You pretty much need HBK. I hope maybe he can do it, even if he has to scale back on the edgy stuff and let Trips and Waltman do most of it.
Edge would be a good candidate for it, and it seems like Mizanin would fit in.

I don't understand why HBK won't simply go with it and just realize he's essentially an actor and that's what actors do (pretend to be some one they're not). I don't think it would jeopardize his reputation at all. Speaking from experience, I can say that this is a concern that all new born-again Christians would have in his situation. He just needs to mature a little bit more in his faith and realize that it would be okay to do the DX thing in kayfabe because he'll still be the same, God-fearing man he is in real life. So uhh, to sum all this up, I'd like to see a DX reunion if un-Creative doesn't screw it up as usual.

Rajah.com is the most unreliable website there is. Nothing they have ever said comes true. I'll believe it when I see it.

Eh? Triple H is someone who has spent the last, what... 7 years, looking out for nobody but himself and destroying anybody that got in his way of the title. Now you guys want him to tell jokes and act friendly with young guys who aspire to be the Champion?
Continuity? Triple H could never change from being Triple H. I'd rather he remain a true Heel character forever, than change after a few years because I want to see what he can do to be humourous these days, despite having seen it before.
What has all this character building been for, so far? If he changes now, it's all been for nothing. He should remain Triple H until one day someone gives him a good hiding, and he retires having been finally, truly beaten.

HOORAY!!! I'd mark like a school girl for X-pac!! And if you're not down with that, I got two words for ya! I'm with this guy. Even though I've lost a lot of respect for Pac since the whole Chyna thing, I'd still mark out to hear his theme music hit out of nowhere. Only problem is that I think I'm in the minority.

Obvious question/rant here, but ...
What's wrong with coming up with a new stable? Back in 1996, someone sat down and said, "Hey, we'll have a brand new group, and we'll call it the nWo." And the fans went nuts. And then in 1997, someone said, "Hey! How about we put Shawn and HHH together with some other guys and call it D-Generation X?" And that caught fire, too, and made millions and millions of dollars. At the time, both groups were more or less original.
Wrestling's next boom period depends on ideas that haven't been dreamed up yet, not on nostaglic reunions of groups from 8-10 years ago. Has there been a WWE super-stable other than Evolution in the last few years?
The formula seems so painfully simple: Assemble a faction of mid-card guys who are decent in the ring and/or way over with the fans, give them a NEW name and common motives, and have them rise to the main-event level by being a formidable nemesis for some of the long-established stars. Give them at least one member who's a proven veteran. Have them win a lot to get them cemented in fans' minds as a serious deal. And whatever you do, don't disassemble them within three months just to set up an easy "breakup" feud. Somewhere within that concept lies the key to selling lots of tickets and T-shirts.
But instead, WWE wants to dust the cobwebs off relics like DX and try that again.
Sooner or later, there are going to be so few Attitude-era fans left that when they do reform the Horsemen or nWo or DX, no one will care because that period was so long ago. Remember the huge crowd reactions for Cornette's New Midnight Express back in '98? Me, neither.

New stables do get over (see: Evolution) I admit, it's cool nostalgia with the DX references, but hasnt anyopne learned the downside to bringing back stables for a glory run? (see: WWE version of the nWo)

HHH HBK X-Pac CM Punk There's a few flaws with that though HBK: a 40 year old born again christian who doesnt seem intrested in reforming DX according to sources HHH: Who though it would do him good, will almost certianly tuen on the group after a month X-Pac: I cant even begin to tell you where this is a bad idea. Ill just go withthe fact that he has personal demons and is un-reliable CM Punk: Who's best gimmick is that of a straight edge...doesnt exactly fit DX

If anything, he would be brought in and then given the Neidhart treatment.

I read on Rajah that Kane is gonna be in the nex D-X and hes gonna be wearing a green mask. That'd actually be FUNNY Actually, If they did that when they teased that in 1999 when Kane and X - Pac were over huge as a tag team, Kane would be a main eventer today instead of the lame psycho mid carder he is. As far as the Rajah bashing goes, all they do is steal the same news 100 other sites do, so they are no more or less reliable.

My take on this:
On the surface, it sounds really, really good. It WOULD get some good one-time pops. But I don't think it would have the steam to go very far in the long-term, especially w/ HBK and HHH in the latter halves of their respective careers.
I almost want to compare this to reforming the Horsemen with a few new members, but I've seen how well some former Horsemen have gone over on the board (Jarrett, Roma, Mongo.) Personally, I enjoyed the Flair/Anderson/Pillman/Benoit Horsemen, but I know opinions differ. Similarly, I might actually get a kick out of seeing something like an MNM/Punk/HHH/HBK DX, even if I'd always know it's not the exact same thing. However, something about it would still feel a little hollow
