So heres a question to pose, what are your guys favorite documentaries produced by the 'E? For its probably McMahonThe rise and fall of federations ones (even WCW), Pillman, Horsemen, the WHC, Jake (as depressing as it is), Shawn, Jericho and Eddie's are all great.

Bret's doc is really good as well, Rise and Fall of ECW is up there. The True Story of Wrestlemania will probably end up being my favorite... Despite only being a 2 hour doc.

Anyone know if the Hardy Boyz dvds are any good (Leap of Faith, Twist of Fate, and the Jeff solo one from right before he left)?

Yeah WCW's was a HUGE! disappointment; I keep mine really just for the matches; growing up w/ WCW (Semi Jim Herd Era, Bill Watts era through Closing) this dvd was a big let-down. The Best of Starrcade was a whole hell of a lot better than Rise & Fall of WCW

Honestly, the worst one that i have seen is History of the World Heavyweight championship. The stuff about the early days is interesting, but after that its just people saying how happy they were to win the title.

Well, today I picked up my copy of "Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story," and I know that there are mixed opinions about the guy these days. However, I bought it mainly because I had been meaning to get it for almost a year now. Also, I figure that since I had moved on from the tragedy to a degree, I can acknowledge what happened but at the same time separate the man from the wrestler.
By the way, is it hard to watch the documentary these days compared to when it came out?

^^^ Good point. I still own my Backlash 2004 DVD, with Benoit on the cover art as well. I looked at it a while back and remembered the shots of Benoit's family, including Daniel and Nancy in the crowd and it kind of made me feel a little uncomfortable, but for a while, I have been able to watch his matches with no problems at all. Anyway, I have a question regarding the Wrestlemania X8 DVD. Now I know there are some gaps that I need to fill for Wrestlemanias. I was wondering, I remember that Wrestlemania X8 was released with the WWF imprint before changing to WWE. However, I remember reading that later on, it was released with the WWE imprint. Which is more likely that I'll end up with if I buy it online? I would rather have the WWF version. I have read that Backlash 2002, as well as Insurrexion 2002, still have WWF references despite being packaged as WWE. Just curious. Wrestlemania X-8 DVD would only have WWE replacing WWF on the packaging, but the show would be all WWF. I had no idea there is a WWE version of WM 18. I figured it just went out of print after the name change. My version is the WWF version. If a WWE version exists, it has to be rare as hell.

The only portion that makes you walk out with any respect for him as a human being is when he reflects on Owen. You feel sorry for everyone else in the story though because of how much they all admired him.

keeping to the topic, was watching the flair/orton cage match from taboo tuesday 04 and was a bit confused as to why flairs theme was edited to his 91/92 theme and lillians announcing of flair cut out, any ideas?

I can't speak for Lilian's announcing, but I can speak for Flair's theme. I think the reason is because of licensing rights to the "2001: A Space Odyssey" theme. It was like that in a lot of PPV DVDs, actually.

So I picked up the Bobby Heenan set. Opinions? Thoughts? Comments? Its pretty good, its nowhere near being the best WWE DVD produced though. They recycle alot of interview footage. I think WWE did this to give Bobby one last big pay day. Its not a terrible set at all, it just could have been alot better.

A week ago, I was at Wal-Mart, going through the $5 bin, when I found The Spectacular History of the AWA. Is it worth picking up or not? I don't remember hearing much about it when it first came out.

Its one of the better WWE Documentaries. Its worth 5 bucks easily for the doc alone. The extra matches may not appeal to everyone, but the doc more than makes up for it.

I'm pretty sure WM 18 just went out of print after the change to WWE. As far as I know the only WWF set to get changed to WWE was The Rock: Just Bring It. And the WWE version is the harder one to find.

Pick it up. The documentary is solid, the matches are good (though some of them are clipped), and for $5, I'd slap you if you didn't get it already!

I mentioned before I bought a new media rack. This thing is huge, my WWE DVD/Blu collection is the first 3 rows, then some of my regular Blu's under it. This thing is nowhere near full. Still have over 4 rows left to fill up lol. How much did a rack like that run you? I need a new one and that looks pretty nice.
