Of course there was some sort of assist - I'm pretty sure it's physically impossible to jump up twice your height without a little bit of help. Nope, www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU123ttzrpA (not a WWE vid) Given the height he reached (regulation basketball nets are 10 feet high) and where his arms were, that's still only like 4 feet at the most. Floor to top rope is what...10 feet? 12? He got his entire body over it. Yeah...still going with "physically impossible."

Okay bad example. Our bulldog who about two feet tall once cleared his pen trying when we put a broom in it. He jumped it to escape and that pen is 4 ft. high. The smile smile on his face after was priceless. (note we never tried to scare him with the broom after seeing that)

And I'm guessing that was done using the Fosbury Flop, which is where they clear the bar going back-first. Sin Cara would have to have the wrestling skill of Alicia Fox and Melina combined--as if they were taped together--to clear 10-12 feet jumping head first.

Maybe it's just me, and I know it's a real small thing if true, but his jump over the rope intos the ring did look as smooth as it should have. Everything else looked great, and I'm not trying to start any sort of "Sin Cara is going to get burried" type thread. Was it just me who noticed this? I think everyone noticed it. He got hung up a little on the ropes I believe, but I think he gets a pass because A.) that was a HELL of an athletic feat regardless, and B.) he still managed to get into the ring without much of a hiccup. Dude really looked like a million bucks tonight, and I'm already convinced that he's going to get the biggest push that a guy his size has ever gotten in WWE.

He did graze the ropes, but that crossbody more than made up for any possible botch. Beautiful stuff.

I thought the same thing, but that cross body made up for it.

He did, but automatically turned it into perfection by rolling into the ring, then nailing a beautiful cross body!
So no, he didn't botch his debut.

I think he found away around the language thing, the point then charging the ring made him basically just look like a silent, bad ass superhero.

I blame Botchmania for making people look for every little botch that occur. Keep in mind he is learning on the job since he decided to bypass FCW.

I think he found away around the language thing, the point then charging the ring made him basically just look like a silent, bad ass superhero. Kinda like how Rey Mysterio was when he first debuted in WCW. Once he opened his mouth and sounded like a 13 year old, the illusion was broken.

I think he found away around the language thing, the point then charging the ring made him basically just look like a silent, bad ass superhero. He seemed to show some swagger too with the way he walked out. We're so used to focusing on facial expressions for everybody, it'll be an adjustment to see body language alone convey character. And I'll bet a lot of people won't see it at all and just not like him.

I loved his debut, very impressed.I guess this will be brought up for a long time to come though which is sad as it was not much of a botch at all.

it was a pretty noticable botch, and it was his knees that caught the ropes. he did well to save himself from landing on his head after that.

His debuts bombed with the crowd before the Crossbody... well, that's a real problem

His debuts bombed with the crowd before the Crossbody... well, that's a real problem yeah, the silence of the crowd surprised me after the build up. he got a genereic 'spot monkey' ovation.

He tried to jump in the ring and actually got inside of it? Kind of sounds like he didn't botch anything. Seriously, a botch would be if he jumped and just hit the ropes and fell backwards.
