all i hope is if he did do it,that he put on a five star match with dat ass.
I wonder which body part he worked over and i hope he sold well. He better of worn the 80s trunks instead of the cowboy gear too!The whole thing strikes me as odd. Im not going to theorize that macho elbow dropped his way into stephanie but even the slim jim deal sounds odd. I mean,it's the most rational theory dont get me wrong and given that i obviously dont know any of the people involved in real life I cant fully judge their character but it seems to me that thats a little odd for vince. It's not odd that hed be pissed off, hell who wouldnt? He just took a major sponsorship to the rival company but it seems as if thats the sort of grudge he'd harbor for a while then he'd get over it. Closeness or not. It seems to me that the disconnection between wrestling and real life for vince is a little bit odd,for example I dont really see the mcmahon dvd as vince trying to rewrite history..i geuninely believe that thats how he might of saw things because wrestling is his life. He's sort of a kayfabe character. I think vince would do pretty much anything he would think would work for business. You've got to admit that people close to him have screwed him frequently. Everyone from warrior to hogan to austin have at some time broken the crucial rule...and to bring it back to him being a wrestling character in real life..whats the one thing that seperates those people from macho man? He acknowledged it and even sort of cut promos on them. Thats the thing I always hear about vince. Vince LOVES confrontation, infact I remember paul heyman saying that the major reason vince was upset with austin for taking his ball and refusing to lose to lesnar is that austin just left and he didnt give vince a chance to just say go to hell. Vince makes it very, very apparent to even the most casual of viewers who he isnt a fan of. Hogan was the source of mockery for years and they had the rock go out and condemn austin. You've got to admit, subtlelty isnt vinces strong point in this or anything. And neither is it macho mans. Everything ive ever read about him suggests that he got lost in his gimmick too, look at the video he posted earlier and pretty much any interview hes ever done...he never drops character to the point where I think the real guy behind savage is maybe even gone to him and he continually insulted hogan and others...yet..vince...not really so much. Thats the thing it strikes me as odd that of all the people in this world two people known for such a lack of subtlety and a confrontational attitude dont acknowledge each other at all. The only real reference of mockery i remember towards savage is the billionare ted skits but besides that correct me if im wrong...its like he disapeared. Not even to the point of rewriting history,it's not as though vince is photo manipulating tito santa into his place..it's just everything he did never happened. And with the exception of benoit, vince is a business man and even if he didnt like somebody he'd try to make money off of him if he saw a chance. And theres millions of chances with savage. He's iconic. He's also one of the few guys that crossed over between every demographic of wrestling fans. He was charismatic and colorful enough that he appealed to the casual fan but he had the workrate(i hate that word)of a shawn michaels or a bret hart. He's one of the few guys I can think of that pretty much everybody likes. He has released a dvd set of randys, and hes in the video game now and i think hes got a figure coming out so now he might of decided he will give him a shot but it strikes me as odd that it took so long. over 10 years. The only logical thing I can see is savage did something pretty awful. At this point for all I know he secretly led a cult and ate infants or something. I have no clue what it is,but even though vince can overreact and have a hair trigger and even be stubborn...this is pretty odd. I just hope if it was stephanie,he yelled snap into a slim jim when he climaxed. I know this is a serious thread, but you, sir, are now my hero for those comments. God Bless you.

Combination of things, I would imagine. The losing of Slim Jim's sponsorship combined with how close they were and Savage wanting too much money for anything. I think the Steph rumors are interesting but who really knows?

I think currently, it's probably more Macho staying out of the public eye. He's probably managed his money and his name well enough to not need the business, and I think that if this Mattel/THQ thing is a way to slowly reintroduce him into wrestling, he's smart enough to keep his exposure limited. Avoids the overkill that WWE would milk out of him if they'd allow it.
As far as when it first happened, I'm inclined to go with WCW/sponsorship theories. If he just let his contract run out and then signed with the competition, that robbed Vince of putting Randy on a jobbing streak to put some guys over as he made his way out, so that's a missed opportunity. As for the Slim Jim deal, it's probably not so much that WWF lost this one sponsor, but rather that losing a big sponsor like that makes your brand value lose face. I haven't watched any 1994-1995 WWF with the commercials in quite some time, but I would be curious to know if the overall level of sponsorships got seedier after Slim Jims weren't on board any more.

What about the Vince/Nailz incident , thats prolly more likely to be true ?

What about the Vince/Nailz incident , thats prolly more likely to be true ? That one's definitely true. Nailz assaulted Vince because of a dispute over his pay (I think from his match at Summerslam 1992). And afterwards Nailz claimed he was defending himself because Vince made sexual advances on him, which pretty much everyone agrees was B.S.

I don't think there's any truth to the Steph/Savage thing, but honestly, if that's what happened, Vince probably isn't upset that Savage did it. He's upset that Savage didn't want to come back and work it into an angle.

Nailz actually testified to that during Vince's Steroids Trial and is cited as one of the big reasons why Viince was aquitted.

Well , Ive heard rumors Vince is bi.....his swooning over HBK semms a bit too much lol And Shawn was only fired maybe 2 times (once as a Rocker, once after leaving for being pilled out of his mind) despite pulling all sorts of ridiculous shit and causing gigantic amounts of drama backstage while not being a "draw". And then later, Shawn becomes born again. Suspicious.

Bret covered this in his book. Savage called Vince at 4AM, drunk as hell, to tell him he'd signed with the competition; he never even allowed Vince to counter-offer. Vince was so distraught and "shaken" he had tears in his eyes and had to be consoled by both Bret and Jack Lanza. Compound that with the fact Vince and Savage were pretty close and you've got scorned, jilted feelings, not soon to be forgotten, if ever, if you're Vince.
