Sin Cara made his WWE house show debut tonight in Champaign, IL with a win over Primo. Described on Twitter as "solid, not outstanding", and "he did about 8 types of headscissors, doesn't know how to work a Fed style match".

Not knowing how to work a WWE style match is probably a good thing. Why do they call it Fed style? Is WWE associated with everything called Fed now?

More important than our smark analysis is how the live crowd reacted to him.

I guess cause Fed style seems better to say than Ent style or Entertainment style.

Considering that they've been hyping his style as high flying lucha libre, I'm not surprised that he didn't work a WWE style match. Seriously though, who's Twitter is that from, unless it's from a WWE agent or something they have no right to say that doesn't know how to work a WWE style match.

Thats what house shows are for.
Of course it'll take a little time for him to get used to the ring and all that, as well as getting a feel for what they want him to do.

Fed Style? I've heard it called WWE Style, Main Event Style, and Safe Style, but never 'Fed Style.'

Given that "Fed style" or "WWE style" is code for "can't wrestle". That's good thing

You know, I think it says good things for Primo that they trust him to be the first guy to work with the hot new prospect getting prepped for his big debut. Usually they seem to use one of the veterans like Chavo or Regal in this spot.

Usually they seem to use one of the veterans like Chavo or Regal in this spot. Well he's got the most experience of the Luncha style on Raw, so he was the logical choice. He's doing what Val spent the tail end of his career in WWE doing. Making sure the greenhorns don't f*** up on house shows. In fact, Val would probably be the one of guys Sin Cara would have worked with, seeing as he was quite successful in CMLL himself and could lead him through his usual formula match (what he's going to be dealing with in WWE proper), albeit with Sin Cara's spots rather than his usual "take down my knee pad and kick the shit out of my knee".

Chris Jericho was pegged as not being able to work when he first came in, because he wasn't used to WWE style wrestling. And his career took a nosedive for awhile because of it. So if Cara can't adapt to working WWE style, and never learns, then it won't bode well for his future.

I can't stand smarks, especially when they send in live reports. It's like they're asking for ridicule.

Or maybe it's because Primo knows how to speak Spanish which is great for someone who doesn't know how to speak English it's his first day at work?
