I really like Christian alot and so does The IWC!
However the wrestlers I like alot don't always correlate with the wrestlers The IWC likes alot!
So my question is; how did Christian become The IWC favourite that he appears to be?
I didn't follow wrestling from 2001 to 2008 (when I became part of the IWC myself) What did Christian do in this time frame that garners such favour from The IWC?
What I'm asking essentially is; I know why I like him, why does The IWC like him?

Well I can't speak for the whole IWC, but I've always liked the guy just because of the sheer fact he was a part of one of my all-time favourite tag teams with Edge. But what really highlighted how good he is for me was his TNA run. The heel Captain Charisma character is one of my all-time favourites in wrestling; he was the f***ing man at that point. Watch any of his promos around then, pure gold. Plus he was having high-calibre matches with pretty much every big name on their roster.
It still totally baffles me why WWE just seem to flat-out refuse to give him the same chance.

He was charismatic, funny, gave a great promo, always put on excellent matches. And even if he hadn't done those things, he still would have retained a lot of the goodwill from the Edge & Christian days.
Now, he's seen as one of the best workers in the WWE, I think. Someone who can put on a great match with pretty much anybody, and who can deliver a promo that is miles ahead of the majority of the stilted, awkward posturing of the majority of guys on the roster.
He's convincing as a face, and even more convincing as a heel (in my opinion). There's really not anything about him to dislike, as far as I can see.
For myself, I loved Edge & Christian. The air-headed valley dudes with a superiority complex, the five second poses, all of the shenanigans they got up to with Kurt Angle, Rhyno, the Hardys and Dudleys. I drifted away from wrestling for a couple of years after the Invasion angle, and came back just as Christian's tag team run with Jericho was starting to break up, and they had that great, long running storyline revolving around Trish Stratus. Christian by then was a very different heel than he had been when he was with his 'brother', and I liked him even more for it.

I started really getting behind him in 2005. Like everyone else said, he is great on the mic, great in the ring, and carries himself well. It was such a bummer the WWE decided to stall his push in summer 2005. He was one of the hottest heels on the roster at that point. They moved him to Smackdown, jobbed him out, and Christian left for TNA where he became the main-eventer he should have been in the WWE.
Plus I got to meet the guy, and he was really cool.

I've liked him and Edge both pretty much ever since their E&C days.

Ok so it seems his TNA run has a lot to do with it which I haven't watched ANY of, so I will! thanks for input so far guys! I've liked him and Edge both pretty much ever since their E&C days. Same, but Edge seems to get a lot less IWC than Christian, which is partly the reason for my enquirey!

Been a fan of him since I started watching wrestling in 2004. Loved his heel work. He's so good on the mic and he always has fantastic matches. Now he's my favorite wrestler, but he's always been in my top 5.

To me he just seems like he really busts his ass. I know that can be said about most people, but I see it in Christian a lot more than most. I like seeing him succeed.
Plus of course he's a great talker and wrestler.

I'm not a huge Christian mark (mainly because I don't watch Smackdown generally and the less said about TNA the better), but he was really really good before he left. From what little I've seen out of him this run, they've kinda neutered his personality. Yeah, he's older, but being older doesn't mean you can't be a goof.

Christian really ought to start using that reverse DDT of his as his normal finisher.

That's largely just because he's the least pushed of the two, and so people are more vocal in supporting him. If a guy has 11 World titles, he doesn't need that support.

Same, but Edge seems to get a lot less IWC than Christian, which is partly the reason for my enquirey! Oh edge is a superhero among the iwc. Myself included. It's just edge got his due really, and christian until his title win well...didnt. Took so long. I mean for gods sake christian lost to ted dibase. Even if you're not a christian fan you gotta sympathize with anyone who loses to ted. Plus, christian told jokes alot more than edge and i think being a goofy jackass endeared people to him. I mean edge had his moments of being funny(fat failure turtles and the simply the best promo, him dancing on the parade down to the ring on smackdown)but edge was pretty sleazy and manic and kinda psychopathic where as christian was the more light hearted out of them. As for why I like him? I think he's basically spiderman. Wise cracking underdog who flies. He's had some of the best matches in wwe over the past few years and is probably one of the funniest guys out there. He can work face and heel. He can do any type of match and make it work. Even has a cool ring name. I dont know the moment the iwc fell in love with him though I imagine it was probably around the time of his jericho feud into his cena feud but I kinda liked him from the first time I saw him in the brood. The moment edge and christian split from the brood I was so happy and behind them 100 percent. If I had to pick a moment that I always remember and sticks out as the moment I think I decided I liked christian more than edge It was the episode of heat where christian tried to cut weight to get a lightweight title match by wearing a chickensuit.

Ive said this several times before, but I did not enjoy him until his TNA run. His run in TNA helped him out so much. Now I honestly think that he can possibly be the top face of the company (Even though it will never happen) just like he was in TNA. Well i guess the next best thing is him being the top heel. Oh and this is coming from a guy who usually dislikes guys the IWC likes (Punk, Bryan) ect and likes guys like Cena

I was a bigger fan of his before the TNA run.
I really don't know why, and I didn't even watch him much in TNA. But since he's been back in WWE, he seems to have lost a bit of the "spark" he had before...
