Cutting out Striker and Mathews noting that Morrison vs. Bourne on ECW was a "five star match" struck me as really counter-productive and unnecessary. Edge thanked the writers in his farewell speech on Raw. That part was edited out of the online version.

Daniel Bryan never existed. He especially was not a part of Nexus. He didn't kill John Cena. And he certainly didn't choke out Justin Roberts with his own tie!

When WWE killed the crowd noise during the Divas match at the 2010 Draft in Richmond, because the fans were crapping on the match and chanting for the recently released Mickie. Now, I know that WWE is big into reducing awkward crowd behavior by any means necessary, but is it even physically possible to kill crowd noise during a LIVE EVENT?

Now, I know that WWE is big into reducing akward crowd behavior by any means necessary, but is it even physically possible to kill crowd noise during a LIVE EVENT? I believe so. They have mics around the arena that pick up the majority of the crowd noise. You just turn those suckers down. They have many layers of sound piping through the TV during live events. It was very evident at WM27. When Rock's music hit at the start of the show, you could hear the music track through the main channel....but you could also hear an echo'd version of it that was picked up by the crowd mics. Also the fact the crowd mics were all over the shop throughout the night at times.

It's hilarious that they censored Bret Hart saying wrestling on a recent episode of TE. Then there was the time where they attempted to spin what happened in Montreal in 1997 on Raw.

They actually edited out non-offensive chants? That's a whole 'nother level of absurd. Telling the people who pay money to see your shows/buy your products what they're supposed to like...yeah, good idea.

Anyone remember the thread a few months ago about a fan recognizing himself on Smackdown that week, but he wasn't at the event and WWE had edited crowd footage from a Raw he was at years ago into the Smackdown episode? That's their most insidious use of reality construction that I'm aware of, and I can't imagine it's an isolated incident. EDIT: I found the thread, posted by drumnfool. A reaction shot featuring him from a JBL segment on the 2/2/09 Raw was repurposed for a Booker T segment on the 2/4/11 Smackdown. 2/2/09: ![](http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17842039/2-2-09.jpg) 2/4/11 (appearing at 1:03 in this WWEFanNation video): ![](http://dl.dropbox.com/u/17842039/2-4-11.jpg)

So naturally, later that year in trying to restore Cena's lost popularity the dumbasses had him feud for four months with Kurt Angle. Even getting Davari as a manager couldn't get people to boo Angle. Even putting Jesus Christ in an ankle lock while badmouthing "the black people" while wearing the French flag couldn't get people to boo Angle.

How about the time they had to re-do the ending of the Angle-Taker match on Smackdown after the show and they re-filmed the finishing sequence with a bunch of employees in a little section of the crowd jumping up and down.
Does anyone remember this? It was Taker putting Angle in a triangle choke I believe or maybe vice versa.

Didn't they used to edit out Ultimo Dragon's crowd response on Velocity?

Didn't they used to edit out Ultimo Dragon's crowd response on Velocity? The fact that they paid someone for the time it took to do that is hysterical. No wonder the stock isn't so hot

My favourite example of this was the edit job they did of the crowd noise and commentary of the end of the 1992 Rumble, while hyping the Hogan v Sid feud on Saturday Night's Main Event.
At the Rumble, there was a massive pop and the commentary went something like
"And look at Justice just watching. Justice now coming up from behind. Aw Justice just got rid of Hulk"
At Mania the commentary turned into a "LOSER LEAVES...wwe" style affair with Monsoon saying
"And look at that snake Sid Justice, coming up from behind like a thief in the night" accompanied by fake boos. Then Heenan chipped in with how he likes Sid's style, while Monsoon screams about how he should have been a man and eliminated Hogan face to face.
Even at the age of 9 I saw through that. Barely a month had passed so we weren't likely to have forgotten it.

Not to mention cutting a promo where he said he hated the troops, wanted to make Jesus tap, and that he just plain didn't like black people.

For me it's when they replayed the match between CM Punk and Johnny Nitro from Night of Champions on an episode of ECW and it's probably on the dvd as well. Anyway they edited out the "We Want Benoit" chants and replaced them with "ECW" chants. WHO THE f*** WOULD CHANT "ECW" AT ANYTHING IN 2007? How damn ignorant can you be? They could have just replaced them with CM Punk chants and got away with it but ECW? come on. I know you could say everyone one knew they were chanting for Benoit anyway but that to me was just one of the worst edits they have ever done.
