It gets even MORE annoying when they feel the need to put the either of the names in parenthesis, such as: Man, I'm a fan of Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan). Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) had a really good match tonight! Yeah, that's what annoys me the most. Makes it feel like they think they're a better fan because they know their real name.

Honestly,it doesnt bother me too much either way with daniel bryan. Personally I try to say daniel bryan but find myself saying danielson without thinking in casual conversation out of force of habbit.
Though to be fair,I dont think its maleviolent to call him danielson. I dont think its a sign of putting yourself over,he was known as that for like 10 years or something. It's who hes known as. I dont see it as disrespectful as long as you call him what he wants to be called to his face which to be fair,We dont know.
I just think daniel bryan sounds like broken english. It sounds like something youd read in a craigslist ad written by a russian who's secretly going to sell you into slavery. I can see it now
"Subject Line:Want to be a action soap opera star?
Hello! I am daniel bryan of the world wrestling entertainments. Are you prettys? Do you want moneys? Do you want to be a models? Dont worry im totally not going to sell you to a sex ring in thailand. Come to the world wrestlings entertainments where you will be a wwe superstar to the wwe universe!"

I don't have a problem with "Danielson" per se, it's just I've known him as Daniel Bryan. I still find it annoying when people say "the Danielson match on Raw was good" for example. It's like saying "Flamingo's flock are making me watch Nitro" or "the Boulder-Poffo feud is awesome" Perhaps one of us could ask DBD what he personally prefers and end the whole argument. If WWE began calling him Danielson, I'd call him Danielson.

I have a hard time getting used to Evan Bourne and Daniel Bryan mostly because my mom was a huge fan of them both in ROH and refuses to watch much WWE - so if I ever mention them to her, I have to refer to them by their indy names.

I wonder if a known wrestler got an extremely dumb gimmick, if this pet peeve would hold up. lol. Like say the newzy name Jericho was given pre-debut, remember... X-Calibur? That sounds like a finishing move for Waltman.
