My problem is, if WM was held anywhere else then I'd say Cena goes over. But I can't see it being a pretty situation if Cena's hand is raised. Forgot Rock having nothing to gain from this. Does anyone really believe Cena has anything to gain from this either?
Yes if Rock goes over, it craps all over the current generation. But if Cena goes over, it craps all over the past generation at the same time.
I don't for a second think that Rock would refuse to job to Cena, as Crimson mentioned he doesn't have a habit of doing so. Personally, it would be a twist if Rock won...and I don't think it would work out as bad as people say. It's a strange situation, but Rock has nothing to gain by beating Cena...yet really, Cena has nothing to gain by going over either. The only people who will 'suffer' are Rock/Cena fans going back and forth over who is better really. At least if Rock does go over at Wrestlemania, then it's almost a sure thing he'll be back for a re-match at least. Then again, they could give him this as a thank you in his hometown on the grandest stage, against the one man everyone wanted to see him face. Rock's last WM appearance in a match ended with a loss. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave him this win, so he could 'go out' with a win in his 'final' WM match.
But IMO, neither man has anything to gain from winning.

Rock was clearly the heel against Hogan and he still went over. Nobody in that building wanted The Rock to win that night, but he did anyway. It's not always about whose hometown you're in. It's about making the smart and proper booking decision. You do remember Hogan putting Rock in an ambulance and then running said ambulance over with a semi right? Regardless of the cheers Hogan got at Mania, he was still meant to be the heel. I'm not saying The Rock wasn't meant to be the face in the Hogan feud, but Hogan was getting cheered long before that match. He was getting bigger cheers than Rocky long before the WM18 match. It was still a tough situation because they had to know Hogan would get more cheers. He is the greatest of all time and hadn't been around since 1993. Plus Canada is just pro-Hogan. It's the same situation now. Cena is meant to be the face in this feud to. Rock has been a bully, cost Cena the WWE title unfairly so a heel could win, and every point Cena has made, has been true. Rock was meant to be the face at WM 18 and could never compete with Hogan in terms of fanbase. Cena is meant to be the face although he could never compete with the Rock in terms of fanfare. Same situation. Rocky was still getting booed even after making the save for Hogan when the Outsiders attacked him. Cena goes over, shakes Rocky's hand and the crowd slightly warms up to him because of it.
