It's not even offensive, it's just really stupid.
American can't be knighted for one, nor does being knighted make you royalty.
We don't want to see divas wrestling in football shirts, you're never going to get a cheap hometown pop with football over here.
Tea party... well that was entertaining.
But anyway, I just want to get through one UK RAW without some stupid outdated garbage. Just have a normal RAW, it just happens to be in England. The big Union Flag next to the stage is enough.

Haha, I'm British and kinda agree, but WWE is full of stereotypes, you can't blame them for pandering to the British stereotype when they're over here.

It is kinda funny. I love the UK, so it always amuses me when WWE tries stuff like that.
The tea party they did with Santino was probably the best thing they've ever done in regards to UK culture, because it fit Santino's character to try something like that. The people who produce those shows need to be smartened up by some of the UK talent.
Euros, euros, yeah yeah.

Yes we can. They're stupid and deserved to be scrapped. Although the Santino Tea Time last year was amusing.

That was hilarious when that happened! Crymt Tyme looked so shocked that people were booing them for it ;D That's a time when I wish heel Cole was around just so he could rant about IS "THEY USE THE POUND HERE! WHAT A PAIR OF IDIOTS! WHAT TOOLS! WHAT MORONS! POUNDS! POUNDS! POUNDS! GET IT RIGHT! TAP OUT! TAP OUT! TAP OUT!"

The Phone Booth is one i always crack up too. Do Americans really still think we have red Telephone Boxes in 2011?

The 'Queen' thing was also pretty insulting - as stupid as it might seem to foreigners who just see the monarchy as some ridiculous olde worlde pantomime to be made fun of, I think that though British people will accept themselves taking the piss out of them, they are 'our' institution, and we don't really like it when big Americans come over here and make fun of it.
Even if none of that were true - and it may not be, but it happens to be my opinion - that was a terrible segment which could have been replaced by, erm, a match or angle involving some of the talent they never seem to have time for. I also really don't like this constant burial of the women's division like it's nothing.
It is stuff like the 'knighthood' segment that makes me embarrassed to admit I'm a wrestling fan and one of the reasons I'm reluctant to watch Raw when there are other people in the room. Why do they have to do it? Do they want people to be ashamed to enjoy wrestling shows? Do they want people to switch off?

That said, it can sometimes be amusing. Remember poor Stacy Kiebler getting near booed out of the building for wearing a Manchester United shirt at a show in Manchester?

The taxis and phone box is irritating so is the union flag and cutting to the pub every time they mention the UK

It could be worse. What if they were to trot William Regal out there with some silly gimmicky-ass British teeth?

Honestly, I'm surprised with all the cigarette talk the WWE didn't go with the obvious british idiom for cigarette.

Can’t they use some more modern stereotypes?
CM Punk could do a great promo on the evils of binge dinking, Zack Ryder and Primo could do a march through London to demonstrate against the cuts, well being cut from Raw anyway.
That said Santino was great last year.

I don't really care if they play up to stereotypes (I've dealt with enough Americans who ask me why we don't brush our teeth, only eat scones and drink tea etc.), it's just when they then try t play to the crowd, but have no idea how to work the crowd. I understand in America people mostly have pride for their city/uni etc. but British people don't go for it. We view our country in a dark light, and trying to get a cheap pop for referring to a landmark will only get them crickets, heel brags about a local team losing and the crowd will either laugh or not give a shit, heel slag off the city and the crowd cheer in agreement.
The whole knighting angle was an obvious reply to the success of the tea party skit at the last taping, but the thing that made that so great was because of Santino, Sheamus & Kozlov playing it to perfection. The knighting thing was nothing short of embarrassing, and I'd be shocked if anyone was entertained by it (unless you enjoy watching bad, cringeworthy skits).

The Phone Booth is one i always crack up too. Do Americans really still think we have red Telephone Boxes in 2011? I'm pretty sure someone in Bude has one in their garden - though I could not testify to its current purpose.

The Santino/Koslov tea party was just harmless fun. The knighting ceremony was annoying and offensive no matter where you're from. Although that was a pretty good Liz II impersonator.
And come on, red call boxes are cool.

Eh, I've spent time in London. A lot of you fellas think we're cowboys over here. I saw a play where you gave cowboy accents to guys from West Virginia. It was like Jamie Noble was the sherrif of Tombstone.

We're a different crowd to Americans, we don't hoop and holler when our hometown is mentioned and we really don't care if you criticise the hometown, ESPECIALLY sports teams. Shane O Mac insulting Jose Mourinho got the biggest face pop of the night a few years ago, and at a house show JBL insulted Camilla which got a HUGE pop.
In terms of inaccurate British references, meh, it's wrestling, they love looking at things as over the top charicatures.

There is a red telephone box about 800 yards from my house so there must be quite a few! I will also mark out if Alberto comes out in a black cab driven by a Pakistani on Smackdown.
