I'm glad he changed from This Fire Burns. Not that it's a bad song it's just...I was tired of it. It was one of the better entrance themes in WWE, but it didn't have anything to do with his character at all. I hope he doesn't go back to it at any point.
Cult of Personality is a surprisingly awesome entrance theme. It's the type of song that I wouldn't have cared to listen to otherwise, but as Punk's music it really really works. It totally fits his character. It's also completely different than anybody else's music, which fits his character as well because the same could be said about Punk's also really different.

I was going to type metal, but I'm not sure if Cult f Personality could be classified as a metal song. Also, are you accusing me of being racist? Cult of Personality is funk metal. And maybe Punk's next theme will be a Sevendust tune. ;D I'd have to put him in my top 5 if he came out to Sevendust.

This Fire Burns was terrible and I hope I never, ever hear it again. It never fit him and was just a really shitty song in general.
I still wouldn't be surprised if they "Jimmy Hart" Cult of Personality at some point, but the more I think about it, the more I think they'll keep paying for it for awhile. I mean Hogan used Voodoo Child for most of his 2002/2003 run, so there's precedent for them spending this kind of money.

from the wikipedia page of the term "Cult of Personality"... "The criticism of personality cults often focuses on the regimes of Fidel Castro, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Hirohito, Mao Zedong, Kemal Atatürk, Nicolae Ceauşescu, Mátyás Rákosi, Saparmurat Niyazov, CM Punk, Ho Chi Minh, Muammar Gaddafi, Kim Il-Sung, Kim Jong-Il, François Duvalier and Juan Perón.[citation needed] Other leaders with such cults include Siad Barre of Somalia, Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, Jean-Bédel Bokassa of The Central African Republic, and Enver Hoxha of Albania." One of these things is not like the others.. I'd live in a small communist country ruled by CM Punk. Sure no alcohol, but plenty of pepsi and fine women. This, this, MOTHERF***ING THIS! I slapped my wifes leg too hard and she got mad at me. But this angle is making her a punk fan so its all good lol And... Exactly this too... I turned away from the TV when Cena started lifting up Rey, and almost got whiplash by turning my head back so fast. I knew exactly what was about to happen. While there was good wrestling on the show, I was kind of bored by the whole thing, but by the time the first few chords hit, the night was completely saved for me.

i was laying in bed watching Raw when it hit, i sat up like a bolt of lightning and said "no way!".
it was surreal having not heard that in years. i was like "holy shit i'm watching this on Raw"
and i LOVE his new titantron, i watched it over again just b/c it looked so cool how the lyrics of "Cult" fit with the images on the screen. nice stuff.
