I have to be honest at the get go and say I'm a huge Big Show fan, so take that into account when you read this.
I am SOOOOOOOO bored of the Mark Henry push. He isn't a good wrestler, his mic skills are crap, and the only thing he has going for him is his size.
Compare him to his peers. Big Show, Kane etc. They at least have some charisma, and are better on the mic, and carry off their role of the "brutal big man" far, far better, whether they be face or heel. Henry is just...well...meh.
The guy has been around for years and in all of his feuds or incarnations he has been consistently BORING. He hasn't got a tenth of the charisma of other guys more deserving of a push, but hey ho, he's waylaying everybody.
Is he a good company man, like SuperJohn? I don't know. All I do know is, purely on a selfish level, he's being put over at the expense of two of my favourite wrestlers, and I wouldn't mind if he was a fresh new talent who was deserving of a push, but he isn't, he's possibly even more clapped out that Show (much as it pains me to say it), and isn't anywhere near the draw Kane is, so I just find him...boring.

Don't worry. It'll be done and over with in another month or so, just like every other Mark Henry push before it.

There's just something about the guy that makes me want to watch him. Also, you don't have to be great in the ring if you're strong enough to rip someone in half like a phone book.

I feel the complete opposite of how you feel. He has charisma in spades. He is decent in the ring. It's Henry's time. Henry is easily the most talented big man on the roster and has been for the last 5 years now. Big Show is good in parts but is much better as the power guy in tag teams, on his own he's just a happy-go-lucky giant who gets angry sometimes, and his in ring talent is long gone. Kane is bloody dull and in ring has gotten worse and worse as the years have gone by. As much as I like Big Zeke he's just nowhere near good in the ring so he doesn't even get a mention. Henry makes stuff look good, the crowd react to him, as long as he's booked to his strengths (and he has been lately) then you have a dangerous monster (in kayfabe) in the roster. Something which has been lacking substancially from most big men runs (Umaga being the one anomaly) for the last five years.

Henry is awesome.Especially his trash talking and he's not really bad in the ring. He's a power wrestler. How do you expect him to wrestle?
Kane is not entertaining at all and if not for the fact he used to wear a cool mask and his original storyline with the Undertaker not many people would care about him.
If he debuted this era with the bald look and all he would be just a very tall boring bald guy that is continuously hyped as a "big red monster".That's it.
Kane leeched off Undertaker and that's the real reason so many people care about him. It's not like his promos are memorable and it's not like he's always having good matches. His World Title reign was boring too.
Big Show is charismatic and IMO he's better than Kane and it's nothing wrong with him putting over Henry. Big Show is a 2 time WWE Champion and definitely already peaked.
Henry can't say that. He's held two titles that are no longer around and that's why I'm hoping he FINALLY gets a World Title.
If Kane can win the World Title then why not Henry?
Henry > Kane

The only reason I am not into this push is because it has been done 1000000 times with the same guy and it never lead anywhere. I find it hard to try to get into him again.

I love Henry and hopes he wins the title.
That said, there's no way he's better in the ring or on the mic than Kane.

That said, there's no way he's better in the ring or on the mic than Kane. Thank you. Henry can't do half the things in the ring that Kane can do. And Kane couldn't have stayed so over all these years if he wasn't at least decent on the mic.

Kane's decent on the microphone but given I grew up with him the flip-flop booking of him to suit whatever occasion means I don't really care. Plus in the ring he just doesn't make anything look good anymore outside of his uppercut or chokeslam.
All opinions of course but Henry has much more to give than him at this stage.

while i'm not going compare the 'big men' of the WWE b/c they're all different in their own way, i will say Henry fits the mold of "i'm pissed off, try and stop me" better than anyone could. he brings his own intensity and his own spin on the persona.
sure it's been done before but few people could rip the cagedoor off and ram it into Big Show knocking the side of the cage down with Show going with it. THEN stand over him trash talking and continue to do so up the ramp.
he's being booked great right now, that's why alot of us are excited he's always been able to be this guy they just never gave him the chance.
it may very well end up like previous Henry pushes, but this time they're playing completely to his strengths and not just having him bend crap in half to prove how strong he is. he's doing crazy stuff to the largest man in the company. i mean him not only picking Show up but holding him up, then raising him and slamming him down on the announce table with the Worlds Strongest Slam was an amazing thing to see.
the guy looks like a monster, and i miss seeing monster heels who look legit. Mark Henry looks legit. if i met him today i would congratulate him on being so awesome.

How did Henry's big push in 2006 compare to this? I wasn't watching at the time.
Right now, Henry is showing a confidence and swagger that I've never seen from him, and is delivering big time. I love the guy and buy him as a wrecking machine with a bad attitude. His ECW title reign was quite good as well but this is on a different level. Again, it comes down to confidence, and I think Henry is really starting to feel it.
