What I love about the current storylines in WWE is that it opens up so many fantasy booking possibilities that are actually believable. {Spoiler}We have Daniel Bryan promising to cash in MITB @ Wrestlemania. Think about that the nerd/net darling getting a world title match at the biggest ppv of them all. It's crazy, but possible. People are speculating already that it could be CM Punk vs HHH at this years Mania. While that would undoubtedly be good I think something bigger would be Punk/Taker. If you had asked me this a month ago I would have laughed at you. However, with this booking and just Punk's overall character and appeal I can totally see this. Plus, let's face facts as much as people want Taker to make it to 20 and go against Cena, he's getting up there and really you can't expect much more out of him then a year to year commitment. Here's the big catch. Taker has wanted to lose the streak. Kane wouldn't take it. Orton didn't want it. Nobody wanted it because they knew it would be a burden on their characters and also would turn a lot of fans on them in a way they might not recover from. Punk might just be above that. He could actually capitalize on that as a heel or even a face and still be able to come back and have fan respect and the respect of the locker room. Sorry to start CM Punk thread 300 this week but I think its a real interesting possibility.

I'd rather have Taker go 20-0 and retire.

I'd rather have Taker go 20-0 and retire. I think nobody would mind that and certainly the man deserves it, but I don't think he wants to go out that way, and if he wants to lose the streak I really can't think of anyone else that could pull it off.

If Punk ended the streak, you'd get all those people who always bitch about his popularity doing so tenfold. That being said, I'd mark like crazy. Punk is amazing, and Undertaker is stale.

Punk is probably the best option, but if this is indeed Taker's last Mania, I think that it should be a celebration of his career/accomplishments, with theatrics of the end of the Undertaker character, and he gets a relatively easy win over someone. I don't want to see one of the true greats hauled off on a stretcher after an epic match.

You know, I always thought Punk would be a great candidate to end the streak, but no anymore.
ADR should win the Title like, next week, and hold until WM and face Punk to decide the real World's Champion. Taker should face, um, Sheamus? I don't know.

No, I think there's too big of a chance the crowd could turn on him and it could hurt all the momentum he has right now.

Punk is absolutely perfect to retire the streak.

While Punk is perfect, my friends and I have worked out the perfect path to 20-0: a gauntlet match against all previous still-living Mania opponents: Snuka, Roberts, Diesel, Sid, Kane [twice], Big Show, A-Train, Mark Henry, Bundy, HBK twice, Trips twice...

I'd love to see Punk break the streak just to see all the anti-smarks bitch and moan.

IMO the Streak is one of those things that is bigger than one man. What man deserves to have 20 years of buildup land in his lap in one night? No one I can think of, not even Punk (as much as I mark for CM).

Ideal card for me: Dream Match John Cena vs The Rock Streak on the line Undertaker vs Christian SD Spoiler here {Spoiler} WHT Chris Jericho(c) vs Daniel Bryan MITB Shot WWE Championship CM Punk vs HHH Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio Rey Mysterio vs R Truth vs John Morrison vs Sheamus TLC Fatal 4 Way/ Winner gets a title shot at Summerslam, replacing the MITB at ManiaUS Championship Evan Bourne vs Dolph Ziggler IC Championship Wade Barett vs Justin Gabirel Just bouncing ideas around really. Ideally Id love a Stone Cold vs Punk match at Mania, even Punk has gone on record saying he wants the match (the interview is somewhere on the internet). But if he cant id be more than happy to see him against HHH at Mania. I would have also liked to see a HBK vs Punk match at Mania before HBK retired

How I think it'll go (not exactly what I want): Rock/Cena WWE Title: Punk/ADR (in a callback to Flair's "REAL world champion" storyline) Taker/HHH III (if Taker wins, Vince takes control of WWE back) {Spoiler}WHC: Orton (c)/Bryan (MiTB)/Barrett (rumble winner) US Title: Swagger (c)/Ryder/Riley/Ziggler IC Title: Zeke (c)/Khali Tag Titles: DiBiase & Rhodes (c)/Kane and Big Show

Im fully with Punk, but he shouldnt touch the Streak. Maybe he could be the 20th guy, and come "this close" to beating Taker, but especially after Mania 27 and the car crash Taker went through against HHH, a guy who is in kayfabe one of, if not the best in the WWEs recent history, from which he came out with the W, nobody else can end the streak.

I personally do not want Austin to come out of retirement, but I think the dream match of Austin/Punk would probably be the best match for WWE. I think Dwayne Johnson could possibly fight to keep it from happening as he has a lot of bargaining power coming off of the success of Mania 27 and his willingness to give WWE the match it and Cena have been wanting for years. Of course Rock may not mind at all.

Surely you could tie Punk over till the mania the year after to vs stone cold. Why not? They made this match a year ahead, at next wrestlemania announce punk/austin xD
