Same response as Punk. Punk tweeted 'VIA SATELLITE' as well. Yep, that's why earlier in the thread I said that both of their replies sucked. I love Punk but he can be crap at times too, I'm not a deluded follower fan or anything. Given Rock is ignoring Punk (rightly, his feud is with Cena, not Punk) I don't really care what he has to say in relation to 'Dwayne' at this point unless kayfabe wise they get involved with eachother in the ring. This is awesome, kayfabe wars remind me of my older brother having tape trading discussions on AOL in the late 90s and arguing passionately about the product. I think people just want Rock to stick his neck out where he really has no reason to stick it out just because they want Punk to have a more legit reason to tear into him. The barbarians of the internet demand that Dwayne make a blood sacrifice to their god.

It's pretty sad, after watching my favourite wrestlers end up as shells of themselves (as of late Kurt Angle makes me worry for him every time he takes a hideous bump) I really wish people would be more understanding of wrestlers who made the right choice of getting out with their health intact. Especially those that come back and do not require any help with money just to appease fans in a match some of us have wanted for years, at Wrestlemania no less. Hell I wouldn't mind if people just didn't think Rock coming back sooner was 100% his fault because he doesn't love the fans. Given most of us know there's more to it than that and it's much more WWE's problem than his. Plus in kayfabe Cena is sucking horribly at answering any points without resorting to a 6 year olds "BUT I'M HERE! YOU'RE NOT! MEANS I WIN!" response is just melting my mind. Put some effort in you dolt!

Well I was more or less taking a shot at Orton. Mainly due to his "Cena is a great talker, and comes up with stuff off the top of his head" or whatever Orton said.

I'm pretty glad I tend to miss Orton interviews, he tends to be a mark for his best friends, which isn't a bad thing but he talks down anyone else and makes up absurd crap about them. Hearing about the Rock using a teleprompter all through his career the other day made me laugh my head off.

My point is, I'm sure everyone here thinks they're somewhat "in-the-know", I'm no different, but even the CM Punk fued at the moment can't begin to match this level of divided opinion and THAT is what makes it a great fued. It's by no means on the level with CM Punk in terms of promo-menship (or whatever, jesus, who cares) but it's certainly got a very enviable dividing factor. I wouldn't claim myself to be "in the know"...but I get your point and I agree. They appear to be walking a fine line between reality and kayfabe. It's what makes the feuds exciting, and the mark in all of us wants to believe in what is said. Obviously there is no place for "you're a Cena fan, you suck" talk sure. But there is room for reasoned debate. My whole point is, this feud appears to stem from genuine heat Rock had with WWE as a company. Cena became their company man, and appeared to be on the popularity level of Rock. So he was towing the company line, and that's when it started. I don't blame Rock for not coming back for 7 years, as he had no reason to. He was shoved out the door, so had no reason to step back through it. I've had people accuse me of "thinking this is all real"...and I truly don't. But I do believe there is genuine heat between the two...just not as much as portrayed. One guy on another forum actually said "they wouldn't let them feud if they didn't like eachother". Face palm moment of the century.Well..... ehh. I'm not sure what that guy was getting at, people have obviously fueded in the past without liking each other. Really though, there's no particular reason for the Rock to come back after all these years to lay down for someone he has no respect for. In reality he's effectively doing Cena a huge favour, so I don't see where the animosity would come from.

Only after WM can be really be sure what the situation is. There's still a chance Rock could go over next year. It's not as far fetched as first thought.

I'm confident enough in that prediction though. The Rock is not sticking around, and so the only purpose to him winning would be as a platform to turn Cena-heel... which would make no sense. I think it's a safe thing to say that The Rock is going to eventually put Cena over.

The whole thing is funny because it's clearly all business, and it's working on the rubes who think that it's a shoot. Take it like this, if the Rock was a weekly character or bi-weekly, this Mania match wouldn't be half as big as it's going to be.
John Cena is not an idiot, he knows the business and realizes this as well, his promos on the Rock are simply designed to work up people's emotions on both sides of the debate. Same goes for the Rock. A very large percentage of fans explode into heated arguements taking every word of every promo as if this were their real legitimate feeling. I.E the promos are working exactly as intended.
If the Rock had no passion for the business, he would've never come back at all, he would've not talked to Vince McMahon consistently all these years trying to work out something that would be considered huge for the wrestling business. Especially after Vince McMahon was the one who let the Rock`s contract expire without talking to him about it. The Rock had absolutely no reason to comeback, but yet he`s greatly boosting the WWE talk just by his presence of being around the product. Ultimately he is much more effective being a outside force, than a weekly/biweekly character, especially for this storyline as it goes to Wrestlemania.

Well that was WAY better than the catchphrase-fests we've had before from The Rock. Good to have the better promos back.
