I don't see how they're ripping off the WWE, they're calling the show Summerslam, not Summerfest.

Here is another promotion using a similar tactic. This time it's the King of the Ring logo and less importantly concept. Not gonna bother emailing this one because I actually like ISW. www.interspecieswrestling.com/Pinkie For Win!

It's not a true WWE rip off until they've had a fake Doink. Or a fake Fake Deisel portrayed by a fake Fake Kane

Or a fake Fake Deisel portrayed by a fake Fake Kane Wait...does that mean that Luke Gallows would be portraying Kevin Nash portraying Fake Diesel? Can Kevin Nash be Diesel if he's not Kevin Nash in the first place? Can fake Fake Kane be fake Fake Razor Ramon? Who is fake Fake Undertaker? My brain hurts.

Now that's out the way, I agree that it's wrong that they're using WWE's intellectual property, they've put a lot of time and money making they own once "Mom & Pop" company into a world wide brand so why should anyone be able to piggyback on that success for free? I personally wouldn't email WWE about something like that because they probably have their own team working on stuff like this and if it's a big enough deal to damage their brand they'll find it themselves. but, whenever I see advertising for, erm, unofficial ways watching their product then I contact WWE as that's directly taking money out their pockets and that's totally wrong.

I'd report it.
This isn't something entirely harmless, they are outright trying to rip people off by passing their product off as a WWE one.

Nazi and snitch are strong words my friend. Just curious as to what you have against such "copyright Nazis"? A personal experience from being an actor or comedian? I'm just curious about what makes you hate use strong words about these "copyright Nazis". As someone that's written several things online...you'd be surprised how often lazy pricks just copy your work and just pass it off on their own sites without permission...or even worse, pass it off as their own work. WWE owns "SummerSlam". WWE owns the old SummerSlam logo. It's their intellectual property. It would be one thing to do a total parody making fun of the big PPV's, it's a whole other thing to just advertise it as such. (To be honest, I really doubt anyone would confuse an indy show as a WWE PPV, but I bet there's that one idiot out there.) That's just laziness upon the indy feds part. How long does it really take to come up with a show name and logo. (Hell, I bet I can come up with twenty show names in less than five minutes.) To me it just sounds like the OP came across the show advertisement and was annoyed at the fact that some indy fed would blatantly rip off WWE that way and wanted to give him a heads up over their stupidity. He comes here asking for help in dropping WWE an email that they might NEVER read...and instead a few posters drop the "snitch" bomb a few times. Just seems disrespectful to me...but what do I know? Well, it's something that has been building up in my gut for a long time and unfortunately, you were just the recipient of it. If you were offended, I apologize. However, it doesn't much change my feelings. I wouldn't be surprised. I've seen my jokes stolen by other comedians here all the time, normally I just deal with them personally, rather that sic a lawyer on them. That's just my own personal style. Your actions seem kinda excessive given what could happen to the person and the workers of that promotion should WWE actually read your e-mail. They could all lose their livelihood or worse. It may have raised my ire a bit. My wondering of it was "Why bother? Let them alone, they're not really profiting much from it." The true problem though was just me being angry at copyright law in general and that your actions or potential actions remind me of those youtube users who go around looking for old wrestling or television shows (Many of which will never be seen again or haven't been seen in many years, see my sig and avatar? That show hasn't been aired since 1998 and yet many people who would post episodes on youtube get flagged and have to remove the vids, despite that fact) to flag and snitch on. As someone in the entertainment field, if I recorded a comedy special for HBO, say... I would WANT the publicity. I want as many people as possible to enjoy my art. Now, if someone saw it on youtube and stole a part of my act say, unless I heard about it, my reaction is, let it be. Nothing like that would hurt my money in any real way. I feel the same way about this. It doesn't hurt WWE. It would just hurt this little promotion. So, like I said before, if my words were personally offensive, I apologize for them, but I feel very passionate about the issue behind it. Fair enough...but I'm not the one looking to report the indy to the WWE. I could care less what they do. I'm just tired of every other post calling the OP a snitch. I hate that damn word. Then again, I did get a coworker fired after I witnessed him dealing drugs several times during my manager shifts at work...so maybe I am a snitch...but that's a whole other story. Thanks for clarifying your stance on it for me too. I hate little idiots that run around YouTube flagging stuff as well. Not many ways for us wrestling fans to see old stuff anymore.

Could you use the initials of WWE or a WWE-owned promotion if the initials stand for something else? There was (may still be) a federation called Windy City Wrestling, or WCW for short, and this was around the time WCW was still active, so could you do something similar? Could you name a federation "Exciting Championship Wrestling" (ECW) for example?

, they are outright trying to rip people off by passing their product off as a WWE one. You would have to be pretty stupid to confuse a indy show as a WWE PPV.
