I like that Bourne finally got a championship but why would they give the titles to a makeshift face team when they have a perfectly solid face team in The Usos?

Kofi and Evan are more ever and it would be easier to get people to care about a tag division again with it centered around them.

They will team for a month or two and then just break up. You can't build a tag division around a makeshift thrown together in less than two weeks tag team. I really wish they'd made Yoshi and Bourne a tag team and given them similar gear and called them Air Tokyo. Yoshi at this point I believe is only being used as the replacement for Funaki to be the token Japanese wrestler.

I don't see anything wrong with Kofi and Evan as a full-time team. Evan isn't ever going to go any further than this and Kofi has most likely done all he's gonna do as a singles wrestler, too.

They will team for a month or two and then just break up. You can't build a tag division around a makeshift thrown together in less than two weeks tag team. This exactly. How are people going to care about the tag division as a whole when it's centered around two midcarders who clearly only have the titles because Creative has nothing better for them to do? Not only does this make the dedicated teams that have been tag teaming for a long time look bad, but once they decide to break them up for no reason after they lose the titles it'll make their whole reign look pointless. As exciting as a team Kofi and Bourne are, they'll likely do nothing for the tag division or the tag titles in the long run.

I agree, the R word kept Kofi from... and David Otunga from.... wait, what did it stop exactly? Or can only integrated teams win?

I don't see anything wrong with it. If they're committing to kickstarting the tag division, might as well go with a team that's over. I realize that the team isn't over yet because it's relatively new. But Kofi is over and Evan's finish is WAY over. All there moves garner ooh's and ahh's from the crowd and they sell like madmen so they could get other teams over.
Anything that gets the tag division going, I support. JR was majorly putting over the rebirth of the tag division tonight. He had a very important man in his ear, instructing him to do just that. This excites me.

Because The Usos aren't over enough to hot shot the tag titles to R-Truth and Miz.

Same reason Cryme Tyme never got the belts, begins with an R. R-Truth? Lil' Jimmy Uso is apart of the conspiracy.

Because pretty much nobody really cares about the Usos. Are you kidding? Ever since turning face they have been popping crowds everywhere.

Because they've got a gimmick PPV coming up that involves having the tag titles on the show, and WWE doesn't consider either of their two actual tag teams to be important enough to waste PPV time on, so the belts will be given to a couple random midcarders slightly higher up the pecking order.

This is true, ever since they brought out the Samoan dancing entrance they're over like rover on Smackdown. I think they have other plans for the Usos. They will perhaps be the first credible challengers for Truth and Miz after they take the belts from Kofi and Bourne.
