Allegedly. Though, I meant more along the lines of stiffing her on pay and alienating her to the point to where I don't think they even talk now. If I recall, she even garnished her TNA wages to pay them back some of the debt he owed them, possibly without even telling her.

Seriously, you can really take your pick of Rob Black, Ian Rotten, or Fritz Von Erich, but I feel like Fritz is the clear leader in being an awful human being as a wrestling promoter. Him piggybacking his own sons is probably what edges him, though Rotten's treatment of Mickie Knuckles hasn't been a ton better given they were supposedly like father and daughter. yeah... an incestuous father and daughter.

Has/have ECW or TNA ever had a disgusting promotional tactic? ECW having Raven put Sandman on the cross. Sandman and Raven thought it was a great idea, but nobody else liked it at all (atleast non of the wrestlers. Stevie, Meanie, and Nova were very uncomfortable tying Sandman to the cross). I'm sure the Gangstas did something in poor taste. Also the Mass Transit incident. Yes not all ECW's fault, but the footage of this did originally come from ECW's Fan Cam. As for Eddiesploitation, looking back, I don't think it was truly THAT bad. The only thing I hated, and still do, hate is that Eddie dying was used as a very poor way of getting Rey over. Rey could, and still can, get over by himself. This was not right. But apparently a lot of people were upset about the Eddie is in Hell comment because of his spirituality. Rob Black used to pay indy talent in Philly not to show up to CZW or ROH shows (3PW as well, but most of the indy wrestlers back then loved working for CZW and ROH. Most hated working for 3PW)

I can never see a major federation do something like that. Honestly? I think Uncle NAMBLA is tailor-made to feud with Cena.

Alcoholic Scott Hall/Hawk I know nothing about Ian Rotten other than his scumminess judging from this and other forums, but I wonder if he has done something as disgusting as this. The Alcoholic Scott Hall thing was as cringeworthy as the Fritz Von Erich and Eddiesploitation tactics.

What exactly did Fritz Von Erich do? The story that I'm most familiar with is the one where he faked a heart attack, and his "condition" would change based on the gate for that night's show. If attendance was poor, he was getting worse; if the house was full, he was getting better.

Exploiting Eddie Guerrero's death This, though the Angelina/Winter mystic "date rape drug" storyline is my current favorite in this category. While silly, it is still offensive imho.

Also Cole talking trash about King's mother shortly after her death was terrible.

I think the story I read was that Mickie never saw a dime from her brief TNA stint because Rotten took it all to pay his own bills. Or whatever he does, because paying bills apparently isn't normally his style

If attendance was poor, he was getting worse; if the house was full, he was getting better. Of course, there's also the fact that when his son Mike committed suicide shortly before that year's David Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions, it was quickly renamed "The David and Mike Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions," and pictures of Mike were on sale for higher prices than usual. Or, before that, when Mike was rushed back from Toxic Shock Syndrome which nearly killed him and affected him for the rest of his life. They billed him as "a living miracle" or something and put him back in the ring WAY before he was ready. If he ever really would have been ready, that is. Or before that, when it has been heavily rumored that after David's death, Fritz had someone "autograph" pictures of David to sell.

Im going to go with promotional tactics instead of storylines
and my favorite, which seems to happen an awful lot is all the indy promoters who promote a guy on their card whom they never booked and then the day of the show they claim he backed out.
Or wrestlers who use names/gimmicks that are ridiculously similar/blatant rip offs of popular or legendary wrestlers.

I think a recent event would fall in the category. Big Show getting hit by a car on Raw a couple of days after Randy Savage actually dies in a car wreck.

Or before that, when it has been heavily rumored that after David's death, Fritz had someone "autograph" pictures of David to sell. Fritz was never a candidate for dad of the year. He used to enter David and Kevin (maybe Kerry too) in child fight competitions (basically human cock fights) Also he could have really helped both Mike and Kerry. Mike's problems you mentioned. But in Heroes of World Class Kevin said that Kerry called him and told him what he was about to do, so he called their dad and Fritz didn't think it was a serious issue. When Fritz finally went to check on Kerry he was laying in a bush dead. Or how he was dying he told Kevin he would kill himself if he had any guts.
