I mean, why is he still there? Why is he a heel now if he was feuding with a heel Pope? How did one of my favorites fall so far into the shitter? These questions and more answered in the next episode...of SOAP People want to bitch about focusing on WWE castoffs, but that has to be a factor. I know it started as early as the MEM but now it's as if he doesn't even exist. But instead we got a feud between a simpleton character and a member of security. Wow.
Sorry...rant over.

I wanna make that tired joke about TNA and it's never ending turns, but dammit this time it's true. It's a damn shame that they have zero clue what to do with Joe, a guy who at one point was a former TNA champ.

I used to love Joe but he's definitely just a shell of his former self now. I think it's like a downward spiral where they kinda stopped caring about him (during the MEM storyline) which made him stop trying which gives them no reason to give him anything meaningful which makes him get lazier etc etc etc.
It's unfortunate though, back in '06 the guy was untouchable and I was drawn to Impact because he seemed like a legit killer to me and that's coming from someone who didn't know about him in ROH. It was all just his TNA run that inspired me and drew me to the show.

Hell, even then they gave him the title like eighteen months later than they should have, and while champion he was an afterthought.

I had never seen any of his ROH work and became a fan from his three way matches with Styles and Daniels. He just needs to go somewhere else...to revitalize himself.

People want to blame TNA for Joe's decline, but in all honesty Joe did it to himself. He came back out of shape from his injury and just continue to let himself go. Then it seemed that they were going to do something with him and the "They" angle after he got abducted, but he blew up at the guys in the production truck after that Jeff Hardy match and got himself suspended. Then he was relegated to the feud with Nash and Sting, and continued to go down from there.
As talented as Joe is, he's had attitude problems from time to time, and he's just not motivated to get himself back into the championship shape he was in when he was feuding with Angle.

It's a shame to see what's become of Samoa Joe considering how awesome he was in TNA back when he first came in. I figured he would be the one "TNA Original" that would actually be somewhat of a draw, considering his title win was the most bought ppv TNA ever did.

What's the story of him yelling at production truck guys? Joe and Jeff Hardy were booked to wrestle to a time limit draw on Impact. With one minute left, they announced that the time limit was about to expire. Joe was angry, thinking that it took the drama out of the match, and apparently went off on the production team backstage because of it. Thats what I remember of the story, at least. Someone correct me if I missed anything or screwed it up.

What's the story of him yelling at production truck guys? From Wiki: "After the match with Hardy, Joe was upset with the production crew for starting a countdown to the time limit draw, when Joe specifically requested not to start one because he thought it would reveal the ending of the match early. Because of his outburst, Joe was suspended from TNA indefinitely." Oh, I also forgot to mention that his contract expired late last year and they didn't know if he was going to resign with them, which is probably another reason his career was going the way it did.

They must be paying Joe very well, and he must enjoy the schedule because they book him like a chump most of the time.

I was going to say that'd be odd to be upset about, as Joe's gone to time limit draws where the remaining time has been announced before (though they were usually "five minutes left!" in 1 hour draws), but if Joe specifically requested that they don't say anything, if they specifically said "ok", and then they didn't do it, that'd be something to get pissed about.

Just let him wrestle with good wrestlers. TNA has all the guys needed to blow the roof off. Here's the problem, guys like Fortune for example are all good wrestlers but are feuding with horrible hobos that composes Immortal. A guy like Joe feuds with an immovable object like Crimson. Here's the thing, split Fortune and have the guys feud with one another and put Joe and Angle in there too. You would see a reenergized roster and great PPV matchs.
