I can see how it gets frustrating for Amigo and Bergman. What I don't think helps is that your greatest achievements happened so relatively long ago that it looks like you both are playing out the wrestling equivalent to the Greek myth of Sisyphus. That said, I think M may have a point that you two are over without belts in that same way that wrestlers like Jake "The Snake" Roberts, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase, or "Rowdy" Roddy Piper were. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to translate well when one often loses, more particularly when the stakes are high. That said, you might be viewed by newer members as "legends" i.e. "enhancement talent." More unfortunately, I'm not sure what Viva or me can really do about your losses since they are at the mercy of the voters. I think the best anyone can do is write you two (everyone, really) in ways that indicate that you are not overwhelmed in a match. Take the TV Title match for example: I wrote it so that Amigo was screwed by the General of the Monkey Army. Similarly, when Amigo faced Jonathan Michaels, I wrote the finish to be a lucky backslide pin by Jonathan Michaels that could have ended with a Neutron Bomb by Amigo. Oh, trust me I get that and I have no problem putting someone over, but when you get left off 2 ppv's for the first time ever and allude to this tournament in every promo I've done since Nov. to go out in the first round kills me inside. If it's any consolation, your promos weren't lost on me. In any case, Viva and I have a "master plan" to this King of Wrestlecrap tournament, and simply put, we have something for you (and Doctor Demento) coming up. Viva just needs to cut a promo to set it all up.

IIRC, he won the title but then stopped participating (though I recall him being part of the forums after that, just not this e-fed). Update: Oh, he is still around. Hm...

And again, in regards to Bergman and Amigo, and I cannot stress this enough, when you feel your character losing traction with voters: REPACKAGE THEM.
I was Viva Los Bio Dome, lowly face. That didn't get any votes. I completely turned it around and became a piece of shit heel, "Hollywood" Viva. And I actually took it upon myself to book matches and DESTROY people. I mean f*** THEM. If I didn't do that, no one would have taken my character seriously. I was the guy who put Aaron Enigma out of commission, ended Strykers career, and beat the f*** out of Ganzo Bomb because I could. And it made me seem credible.
Then, HMH fell apart and my championship reign came to a (confusing and frustrating) end after 2 months. It sucked. And I felt the same thing happening. So I repackaged. I'm vincent van agony now, and with Viva Inc. and the Majority Shareholder situation, I'm relevant.
It all depends on how you feed off of the feedback. The votes are feedback.
Amigo, you're right there, buddy. The votes were NOT discernable enough for you to be upset. You lost by 1, 2 max. Bergman, you got destroyed. I don't think that's unfair to tell you at this point. I really highly think you should consider doing something else with your character.

I have repackaged myself before. Both as Johnny Stone and as crazy tri-minded Amigo, among others.
The only thing I can think of is a second, completly new character that's completly different then Amigo both as a face and as someone who uses catch/shoot wrestling or something.

That's what I'm saying. My characters are all pretty drastically different. I can honestly say that while you changed your character, it wasn't noticeable enough; and I think what that tells me is that you aren't really changing enough for it to make a difference. That's MY opinion though. I've always just seen you as Amigo. Even when you were Johnny Stone.

The problem was trying to slur the words as I keep trying to correct them to make the accent, but it wasn't enough, I guess.

I'm not so sure I'm repackaging myself so much as I am tweaking the character a bit. On the other hand, I AM taking a crack at the whole "extra character" thing, maybe to see how good I do writing a different attitude or something.

Bergman's tried to redefine himself too though...
I wonder what he did wrong.
Well, I guess I could ask this too: have either of you thought of pairing up with someone else to form a long-term feud lately? I kinda feel like I've been dictating the course of this Amigo/General/Brainbuster feud, whether they liked it or not, but have had no complaints about it either.

As I've been thinking since the outburst started and what's been said here, I've noticed that in general, my intrest here has wained too much, and while I could do a complete reboot, I feel it just may be a waste of time and don't want to be let down again.
If Viva and BRB can find a replacement real quick-like and do the card again, I think it's time to retire right here, right now. I just feel no hope at all here anymore, and I think it's for the best. Thanks for putting up with my crap for so long, everybody, and good luck in the future.

Good show guys. Thankfully things are starting to finally come back together on my home comp and as it turned out some parts that I had might have been a bit more a source of a problem instead of my son's actions so needless to say I had an impromptu b-day gift to myself in the form of the purchase of a new mobo, ram and vid card. Wallet might be a bit sad but all in all things are looking up.
BRB, thank you so much again for helping with the match and I hope it was alright Doc D. I like how there seems to be a "D" theme coming on now. lol
As for what's going on right now, personally, I was really stoked to see Bergman's Jazzman return. I'd read a lot of the early stuff and when I saw the promo's I thought it was a great way to get him in and I voted accordingly.
As for Amigo, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling about things. You've been a great performer and your heel work has been some of the most enjoyable I've read since coming to the WWCF all those months ago.
For what it's worth I'm just pointing this out. A lot of things are still in a bit of flux and while I can certainly understand folks frustrations with things I'd like to also think that while change can sometimes bring frustration it can also be a source of great things if we give it a chance to really come to full fruition. BRB and Viva I think are making some great strides and I'm anxious to see these plans that they are talking about and I invite everyone else who may be having thoughts on their future to really consider staying.
Speaking personally and honestly, I hate to lose, so I can certainly see where folks are coming from but I've taken a lot of things from what I've read, both on here and in books that I've read recently about wrestling. Losing doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. From a story-telling point of view it can add so much fuel to a fued and one thing that I'm hopeful to see is more drawn out feuds that carry over time instead of ending after a match or two. I know Whitey and I have some plans for the future that we've spoken about and I'd like to think that he and Connor's first match will be one of many to come and the chance to tell a really good impactful story. So I guess what it boils down to is that I hope folks can look at things not so much as a bad thing but just one part of a big whole that they can have a big part in. I think I'll just leave it with a quote I found some time ago that really hit the nail on the head for me.

Amigo...I'm sorry. For what it's worth, I'm sorry. I should have promoed this week, and frankly, even though I'm winning and holding onto the belt, I'm feeling like a completely undeserving champion right now. I'd ask you to reconsider, but it seems like you've got your mind pretty solidly made up. Still, thank you. I loved promoing against you both times we had a match, and I'm astounded you hadn't gotten anything before. All I can say is see you out there.

I say let him walk. I think a break is exactly what the doctor ordered for you right now, Amigo. It just comes with the territory so often. Unless you're a face, you just have to take losses. And those losses can start to pile on. It really takes doing shitty heel things on the show to stay relevant. When Hollywood Viva lost his title, he was still the most over heel. It wasn't really until Colt showed up out of nowhere (after DISAPPEARING AGAIN) and stealing all my votes that my character got stale.
It seems to be the way shit goes around here. Voters are just quick to vote for the new thing, rather than actually take the time and consider the merits. Look at Aaron Enigma. I still think the way he left the fed was one of the shittiest things you could possibly do. People here were legitimately worried about his well being. He became a champion within 2 months. Did he deserve it? Not really. Not at all, actually. He won it over someone who had been here and steadily promoing and putting in work much longer than he has. But people voted for him because they hadn't seen him for a while. And it's not really a knock on Aaron Enigma at this point. People like voting for new guys to give them a little bit of momentum. Barring terrible character work, you're likely going to get a few wins early. Some of those guys turn them into belts, some don't.
Food for thought.
