Can I put my two penneth in please?
Bergman, Vokoun, apologies on one front if your match was a little short - I had some internet problems that meant my connection was dipping in and out. I wrote what I could and made sure it was over in time for the deadline rather than be late and delay the show. As a result, I would have liked to have written the longer match for the pair of you.
When I wrote it I had no idea of the votes, so I tried to make things as equal as I could, but bearing in mind the difference between your two characters in size and technical skills. I also tried to make the commentary reflect that.
If however, you can think of ways I can improve my writing please tell me, and this goes for everyone else too, if I end up writing any of your matches please PM me with any spots or particular thing you'd like to happen and I'll build them into the match.
I also feel quite guilty that I'm in with a shot of the World Title after being here less than a year. I know some of you guys have been here a lot longer and probably deserve it more than I do. However, in my defence, I've tried to be creative with my promos, move my character on from his debut, turn him heel, and ally with a stable.
I've also tried to write as many of my own matches as I can - and in hindsight I realise that I may have put myself over more than I should as a result. I do think that it has paid off though and that it's made my character stronger.
I've decided to cash in my briefcase in a match people can vote for because I'd rather do it that way and if I lose, it's because people think my charcter hasn't done enough, rather than just award myself the title with a cash in. This way, I feel, the better man wins.
Anyway, if anyone is annoyed with me for getting a title shot, I apologise, but I've just tried to do the best I can.

So I guess the General doesn't think he's Teddy Roosevelt anymore.

I'm just bummed because I threw all my chips at this one thing and it failed spectacularly. I can kind of chuckle about it because now I have an idea that not only rejuvenates my character but can set me up for one of the better runs I've had.

It'll be tricky to pull off, but I think I'll claim BOTH of my matches.

Well, I was planning to write them back to back. No way I get it easy next week. As for the Mystery Opponent *DRAMATIC MUSIC*, it's PM time.

New rule here in the WWCF. It takes effect immediately.
If you lose: No more bitching. I swear to god, I've had enough of it. If it's not one person, it's someone else. EVERYONE CANNOT WIN.
The next person that makes someone feel guilty for winning is going to make me shit my pants with rage. It's not f***ing necessary at ALL. Lose humbly. This is FOR FUN. If you're not having fun anymore, you can take a break, or try to recharge your batteries, whatever you need to do. But you can't make people feel bad for something they can't even control.
From now on, bring it to me in PM. If you're frustrated with your standing in WWCF, hit me up privately and we can brainstorm, or do whatever it takes to keep you guys interested or happy with the WWCF.
I've now appointed myself WWCF Shrink. Hopefully it contains the outbursts of people losing, or at the very least makes them a bit less frequent.
Seriously. My doors always open. Get the eff in here and talk about it with me. BRB is a creative god damn genius. He can help too.
No more in thread outbursts, though. It's just not fair.

Whitey went from losing on the house shows(anybody else remember them) to just losing on tv as heel, then as a face, then as a heel again.
Now I'm main event, but it didn't come easy. The most important things, I feel is promos and changing up your character.

I think the only time I ever got "mad" over losing was when I got pinned twice during the "Saved by the Bell" PPV in 2010. And even then I was still fairly new at the time. The only reason I was mad was because I felt i shouldn't have looked THAT weak considering what my character was at the time. But I think that was the only I was mad about losing.

That brings up another great point. If anyone ever gets upset about the way their character was written for, or is being booked, again, address me or BRB first and foremost. I'm not trying to say people aren't allowed to be angry. I just really think that it's become a trend in terms of people griping in the thread, and it shouldn't be. Everybody is, for all intents and purposes, on an even keel. We have to make sure everyone receives the same amount of respect, and it's hard to do that when people feel bad about losing, and use the thread to vent. Berg, I'm glad you didn't throw in the towel.

Actually this loss may have given me new life to the end.

First of all, I will take Amigo/General. If no one takes the TV Title Match, I can take that too, though I will sit back and see who takes it. Second, with the voting due tomorrow night at Midnight, I'll put the writing deadline at Monday 12 AM - the next night. Hope that doesn't hustle you, Gus. Third, I'm glad that you decided to stay Bergman. Hopefully you can get at least one good run instead of having to leave empty-handed one time too many. Fourth, as far as losing goes, well, I can't honestly say I've ever had much of a big losing streak per se, but as long as I've never won the World Title, there's always something left to do. Also, I am the Tito Santana/Big Show of Gookermania (0-3), but I kinda get a kick out of that and almost hope I lose at Gookermania V to keep the "streak" going. I guess the truth is, I take everything in stride. You win some, you lose some. Sometimes you get the push, sometimes you "enhance the talent." You need to know when to go all in and when to fold. Most of all, you need to be creative with your fellow members and figure out ways to occupy yourself as a gimmick with or without a belt. A character who needs a belt to be defined frankly is a bland character. Similarly, if you have ideas for other members, tell them! The worst that could happen is they decline your idea. With the new, "no public complaining" rule in effect, I will endorse it if for no other reason than to keep the peace here. As a match writer, I try my hardest to put over all contenders within a match. Go back and read the Battle Bowl 2011 and tell me who wasn't put over in their time within the match. But in the end, I am still at the mercy of the votes, and a loss is a loss to many members no matter how you write it. Viva and I seem to be getting general praise, and I hope we emerge from this year better than ever. I think we still have kinks to work out on our timeliness of getting shows voted and posted, but I also think we're getting there. The most important thing to me, right now, is I think we need more members to freshen things up and keep them fresh.

And I've never really had a massive losing streak either. In fact, surprisingly, I think I have a pretty good win/loss record.
