EA's getting real annoying with all these Origin exclusives. I WANT THE OLD REPUBLIC ON STEAM GODDAMIT!! Battlefield 3 is also being left off Steam. This whole Valve/EA situation is a disappointing and confusing mess. Also, Terraria might be the most addictive game I've played since The Sims. So much world to explore, so many items to discover. It feels like I come across something interesting every 10 minutes.

Is it pretty much a 2D version of Minecraft? I got it on sale but haven't really played it yet. Speaking of Minecraft, my friend and I have our own private server if anyone wants to play. Cthulhu Saves the World & Breath of Death VII Double Pack: $2.69 I've heard really good things about Cthulhu Saves The World in particular. It's supposed to be a fun throwback to the 16-bit RPGs of the early 90s. Sounds like a good endorsement, I just bought it. Ditto. Just got Counterstrike-Source, anyone want to teach me the ropes sometime? I hear it's pretty hardcore. Yeah sure add me on Steam: gosh804 (I'd post my STEAM name but it's pretty against the ToS) Also if anyone has Garry's Mod you guys should join me on some PERP servers I couldn't add you, the username is nonexistent. :/ I also have Garry's Mod so add me and hit me up. I'd love to play.

Is it pretty much a 2D version of Minecraft? I got it on sale but haven't really played it yet. I haven't played Minecraft so I can't comment on any similarities personally, but that's generally the comparison I hear most often. The Starter Guide on the Terraria Wiki should be a good place to start before you play for the first time. There isn't much of a tutorial in-game and they pretty much drop you into the world without much of an idea of how to proceed. I was actually pretty overwhelmed when I first started because I didn't know what to do. But I eventually figured things out after quite a bit of frustration and now I can't stop playing. There are just so many interesting items to find/craft and so many unique biomes to explore. A huge, open-ended world with challenging enemies and treasures hidden in the depths below. I was able to get it for $2.50 before the pricing error was fixed, but if I had known just how fun it was, I would've paid full price back when it was released. Very cool game and a blast once you figure out how things work.

Also, ever since Team Fortress 2 went F2P, the L33T players have been banning the n00bs. Disgusting.

I wish I had reserved some money for the Orange Box. I have it on the 360, but playing with the controller doesn't feel that good.
But it's $20 now. Don't know whether to go in for it or get the Complete Half Life collection for $40.
Choices and curses...

Also, ever since Team Fortress 2 went F2P, the L33T players have been banning the n00bs. Disgusting. As one of the "1337" players who was in TF2 back before it became a hat simulator, I'm really stunned by the amount of negative backlash it's gotten. I didn't realise I was part of a secret society. My only issue with it is I honestly have no idea who are F2P players and who are bots. Bots are far worse because they are completly useless. At least F2Ps can learn that Pyro can extinguish team-mates with right click, running in to allies and not being able to go through means they are a spy, standing on the point means you stop it being captured instead of trying to shoot the person off of it and BY GAWD ENGIE IF YOU KEEP BLOCKING YOUR OWN SENTRY WITH YOUR OWN DISPENSER, I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU WITH YOUR OWN SENTRY I SWEAR TO sorry the 1337 part of me started to rear its ugly head for a second

Zeno Clash is the most f***ed up game I have ever played. Playing the Zeno Clash demo months ago was the closest I've ever come to experiencing an acid trip. I wish I had reserved some money for the Orange Box. I have it on the 360, but playing with the controller doesn't feel that good. But it's $20 now. Don't know whether to go in for it or get the Complete Half Life collection for $40. Choices and curses... If you don't mind waiting for a few months, I'd hold out until winter when the next big Steam sale hits. The Valve Complete Pack (all the HL games, all the CS/DoD games, both L4D and Portal games) was only $50 during the Summer sale last week and will likely go on sale again next time.

I have both of those games on my 360, simply amazing. I even picked Breath of Death VII as my personal RPGotY for 2010.
