Has anyone else been buying games during the sale? I just counted and I'm up to 32 games purchased in the past couple of days.  The horrors of having a credit/debit card.  Anyway can someone let me into the FAN group? And if anyone wants to play my username is EmperorWu. I have Left4Dead 1&2, Team Fortress 1&2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 & Counter-Strike Source among many others. |

Quiet week for me, only $28 spent on eight games. So many of the daily deals were on games that I had already purchased during previous sales. Overall I'm still very happy with what I got. Should tide me over until the Winter Sale. Steam profile. |

Is Killing Floor any good? It looked really nice visually but seemed like just a Left 4 Dead rip-off. It was super cheap like 3 days ago, should have gotten it just to see.

Killing Floor is great, I really should get around to playing it more often. I tried out the new Circus map for about 20 minutes the other day and really enjoyed it as well as the alterations to the zombies. Giant Cymbal Monkey with a chainsaw? F*** yeah. Is Killing Floor any good? It looked really nice visually but seemed like just a Left 4 Dead rip-off. It was super cheap like 3 days ago, should have gotten it just to see. It's like L4D Survival Mode w/ the COD perk system and buying weapons in between rounds (like in Counter-Strike). Lots of maps, nice variety of zombies. Definitely team-based; gotta stick together if you want to survive. You go through waves of zombies, each one larger than the last until you fight a tough-as-nails boss at the end. The visuals are dated (it was previously a mod for UT 2004), but the gameplay is solid. A lot of fun and a steal for $5. And as far as being a L4D rip-off, it was originally released back in 2005 as a total conversion mod for UT 2004. It actually pre-dates L4D by a good three years. |

Oh, I just remembered I have another multiplayer game, Unreal Tournament III.
I forgot I had it, because it is the only game I got from Steam that I didn't buy/have gifted to me directly. I got with for free with my textbook on the Unreal Engine 3 for school.

Steam profile name is grbjazzman. Only game I play on there is Football Manager 2009. I'm super cheap and haven't updated it and my comp isn't powerful enough for most FPS with multiplayer. I bought the Orange box, so when I get a new comp or a faster connection I'm going to redownload TF2 to my library.

Got Steam a while back purely so I could download and install Fallout New Vegas... After buying the disc version. Still a little frustrated that I had to do that when I got the disc purely to avoid any unnecessary downloading, but hey, the service has come in handy since with its deals. Picked up Portal 2 today, might give the co-op a whirl eventually, since I don't have anyone on my 360 friends list playing it at the moment. Profile name is FinaleB, I think.
