It's a sad day when bands like this are considered "rock". Just...gah. And people still watch MTV? Do they even play videos at this point? I disagree. As much as I hate Evanescence, I'd still consider them rock.

Seriously though, Evanescence would be great if not for that semi hip hop guy that is badly singing/rapping over the awesome music and the singer's beautiful voice all the time. Please tell me that douche is gone and I might give this new album a chance.

The original demo version was just Amy singing.

They were tolerable when they were a local band when I still lived in Little Rock.
Then...yeah.

Because without thst d-bag ruining the song it could have truly been epic, and if he is in fact not on any other songs of theirs I may just give them a listen. I'm pretty sure I saw their older album somewhere in my wife's cds not too long ago.

Lacuna Coil is the correct answer to a more metallic Evanescence. All Evanescence and Nightwish have in common is a female lead singer.
Epica's better than all of them.

Ah, I still remember the day I heard Amy Lee got dumped by the dude from Seether after they released Broken together Wow, they broke up? I had no idea. But I haven't closely followed either band. I don't think I've heard much from either since like 2006 or so.

Okay, I will give Evanescence this; the early version of "Imaginary" is a pretty decent song. I don't know if it's a demo, or on an earlier album...but the version that's not on Fallen.

"Now"?
How about almost a decade ago when that f***ing song got played on the radio nonstop for what felt like years, and probably was?

Lacuna Coil is the correct answer to a more metallic Evanescence. That's what I used to tell people. But then Lacuna Coil tried to become Evanesence. That'd be like Biohazard becoming Limp Bizkit.

...I had no idea this band even existed after 2004. It's like being sick of The Darkness or the Crazy Frog commercials.

There's like 5 different versions of "Imaginary". Referring to the version on Origin? Because even though that's a full-length it's not considered a real album, just a polished demo.
