Whenever I watch wrestling, I usually wonder how things would be different if certain events did or didn't happen. What would have happened afterwards? Would careers have been made or broken? Would the business be in a better or worse state? So since there's so many different scenarios, we might as well make a game of it. It'll be one of those "I post something, then you post what would happen then post your own for someone else to comment on" type of things. Here goes:
What if...
Stone Cold Steve Austin never got his neck injured from that Owen Hart piledriver?

Stone cold would still become the sensation that he became but without the nagging neck injury he would have gone on longer and probably without that breaK he had late 99/early 2000.
He may have started to become stale prehaps due to having a longer career.
What if.. warrior never walked out at prior to survivor series 92? how would that effect him, savage, perfect, flair and razor ramone?

Nothing much would change. I believe if he stayed, he would have at least one more WWF title run. I read a rumor that he would face Bret Hart at the 1993 Royal Rumble. Perfect would still return to the ring at some point, but probably as a heel, though he might've been a face if you want to build it as a "heroic comeback" story. Savage would fizzle out like he did, Flair would leave when he did, and Razor Ramon would still get an IC title push.
What if during Triple H's reign of terror, a bunch of smarks conspired a July 20-esque plot to take him out?

Then there would be 40 less members of the IWC, because they would be in jail. ;D
What if Cena gets hurt during the Ambulance Match at EC, and can't work at WM?

Rock/Kane at Wrestlemania
What if triple H never tore his quad?

He'd be the first ever undisputed champion, not Jericho. Also, no face turn; in fact, him and Steph would probably be the leader of the Alliance (ala McMahon-Helmsley faction and WCW/ECW stooges), rather than Austin.
What if Samoa Joe headed to the 'E when his contract ran out a few years ago?

He would have been in the Umaga role instead of Eddie Fatu. Same push, possibly still in the company due to him not having wellness issues like Fatu did.
What if Kaval was in Season 1 of NXT instead of Season 2?

Daniel Bryan isn't the World Champion- but he and Kaval vs. Slabriel is a big tag team feud for months.
What if the 2009 trade [that Trump put on Raw] never happened?

WGTT would've stayed together a bit longer, not only as a tag team, but as the main midcard heels of SD. What if the Streak was never built up as such a huge deal?

Taker probably would have lost at Wrestlemania for the first time, possibly to Flair at WM18

Since nobody asked a question, I'll come up with my own....
What if we were still in the kayfabe era?

For one, Cena and Triple H's holding the titles for long stretches of time would be received a bit better, since you could only assume they were that damn good. However, things like Eddie's death and the Benoit murder-suicide would probably damage kayfabe themselves; in trying to preserve it, there'd probably have been no tribute shows to either, especially not with heels giving their regards.
BIG what if: What if Owen Hart never died?

We would have seen a face Trips against a heel Austin that would last throughout the summer, with Austin still the WWF Champion.

If Owen never died he'd have gone to wcw in two yes after his contract was up. His brother would not have been as disheartened by wrestling. The Goldberg/Very feud does huge numbers and gets wcw back in the hunt(not ahead just back into it). After this and Hogan's. Knee surgery bret becomes wcw champ instead of Dallas page. Hogan comes back and we finally get Hogan/hart ppv feud. It draws, wcw's death sentence is put off at least another yr.

Things might still have gone as they did, but the promotions involved would've stayed in business longer.
What if Undertaker wasn't injured in his match with Rey in 2010?

He would still make semi-regular appearances.
What if Mick Foley, and not The Rock was became Vince's corporate champion?

He would have lost it to Rock down the line, probably at the rumble to a face Rock, who would instantly turn and still give us Rock/Austin at wrestlemania. These two were big and there was no way foley as popular as he was, was not denying one of them a spot in the main event.
What if Bret decided to stick with the wwf in 1997?

There would be no Screwjob. There possibly would've been some other way to introduce the Mr. McMahon character to TV, but it wouldn't have had as big of an impact. What if we didn't have the mass exodus of top talent in the 2000s? i.e., if Austin didn't "take his ball and go home." if Rock had stuck around if Angle, Christian and Booker had not left for TNA if Eddie and Benoit had not died. if both Hardy brothers' pushes had been successful and they stayed.

Then there would have been more depth and Cena would have been used well.
What if Lita didn't break her neck in 2002?

Austin still wouldv'e left soon due to nagging injuries. I see The Rock have an Undertaker like Schedule. Still making movies though. Reign of terror wouldn't have lasted that long, but HHH would still have plenty of title reigns. Cena, Batista, Edge, and Orton would still rise to stardom and m.e. status though it might be a little longer. Eddie might have had had one more title reign, before retiring. Benoit would've been the focus of ECW, then either retire or float around midcard, trainer on tough enough If ANgle didn't Leave for TNA he would be dead imo. If Christian left, he would've been like JOMO was before he left. A few title shots on tv, but mostly midcarder Booker would ended up the same. No point in him jumping ship, now that I look back on it, Hardys would still be royal f*** ups. What if Decemeber to Dismember wasn't a failure and Heyman was still around?
