Oh, if it wasn't for that selfish, greedy, egomaniacal Undertaker, then Seth Rollins and Kassius Ohno would be getting HUGE Wrestlemania paydays! I'm SURE of it! Uh no, but Jack Swagger honestly might? Why on earth did you mention two FCW guys when you know perfectly well that there actual midcarders for whom this is true? "But nobody cares about Jack Swagger!" well and maybe something contributing to that is that he's given no TV time to build feuds, because it's given to HHH and Undertaker, who proceed to waste it with boring promos. Jack Swagger was hardly getting television time when the two of them weren't there. Neither of those guys show up on SmackDown, and Swagger doesn't show up there either. That's not because of them. It's not Undertaker and Triple H's fault that guys like Swagger don't get a lot of television time. That problem rests with WWE management, who absolutely refuses to book midcarders competently, and who doesn't see Swagger as being all that important. That's not 'Taker's problem, and hardly something we should blame on him.

IIRC its creation also involved Christian. It started from a voicemail he left Christian. Christian should have no sold it, deleted it, and never talked to Austin about it again. If only he had a time machine he could have stopped everyone's promo from being ruined over the last 10 years.

It PISSED me off. I actually wanted Taker to pull out that 'sister sex' line again in response. Don't think the crowd reactions will be the same at 'Mania though.

Taker hasn't been there for almost a year. Couldn't WWE have used that time to give Swagger something interesting to do? Why would they, when they know perfectly well that he'll be a MitB-afterthought by the time their Superbowl comes around? These are all self-fulfilling prophecies.

"What" should be saved and used only for one guy at a time. When it's done for every single promo for every single guy it loses ALL of it's cache and becomes just dumb.

I was at the show, and I was so upset about the what chants...they were all mainly from one corner of the arena (I think), with some others scattered about the rest of it.

All this tells me is that perhaps we pay a bit too much attention to crowds for some reason.

All this tells me is that perhaps we pay a bit too much attention to crowds for some reason. The energy between a crowd and performers can really add to the excitement. It's sorta hard not to pay attention to the crowd. In person, yes. On my tv, it's just minor background noise that I tend to ignore in favor of what I'm actually supposed to pay attention to. I just find the analysis of crowds that goes on here a bit...silly. Though there are exceptions (the Wrestlemania X8 crowd for instance, because they were something else).

*note to self, never say "what" in front of the IWC. May get lynched.* I mean, damn. Some of you are really upset over this. I know it may seem silly to some, but I've been watching that man perform ever since I was 7 years-old. Basically since I can remember. So yeah, consider me a bit peeved when he gets completely disrespected and shat on by a live audience. As if he deserves it after all he's done in the name of entertainment. I've been a fan of wrestling for 20 years now, which means 'Taker has been there the entire time as I've grown from a adolescent boy, to teenager, and man in his late 20s now. I have literally grown up watching this man, so yeah, it wounds me to see him treated that way. Quoted for truth. I've been watching Taker since day 1 at Survivor Series. Was there when the Streak began at WM 7. Taker has been a constant in my pro wrestling fandom for over 20 years. So seeing someone I have a ton of respect and admiration for, plus am a big fan of, being treated like that is not just upsetting, but offensive to Taker and offensive to me as a fan. That's why the reaction is so strong. Even people who want Taker to retire are not a fan of this.

Who cares. Seriously, last time I checked being a douche and yelling "you suck, retire" is not prohibited. And as disrespectful as you may feel it is, after the show Taker went home to his mansion, smiled at his cars and Harleys, and banged his hot younger blonde wife.
When you are a public figure in sports or entertainment or whatever, you KNOW damn well what comes with it...and being chanted at by idiots is part of the price you pay.
I am 100% positive Taker went home that night, remarked to his pitbulls about the idiot audience, then slept on a big bed of money with his hot wife.

The what chants are horrible. But Taker was really off last night in his delivery. It was a poorly delivered promo and the segment was not good until Hunter came out.

They must really be mad at Undertaker for confronting their hometown hero Lesnar a year ago

All respect to 'Taker, but honestly - he shows up once a year for one mega-match that every one is supposed to fawn over. The matches are always good, but not "well that definitely justified not wrestling for an entire year" good.
There are no sacred cows in wrestling (unless you're dead) and if 'Taker can still go, then he should be there more than just one month out of the year. If he can't then its time to hang it up.
If you asked 'Taker 20 years ago - he'd probably tell you the same.
