Personally I'd rather he hang it up now after this WM rather than try and go to WM30 and beyond.

Well, at least now they can do one more big WM match against John Cena before he really has to retire.

Once annually? Seriously I'm prefectly fine with him competing at PPV but he needs to be able to wrestle occasionally beyond just Mania. Three or four matches a year, you know.

He definitely needs to do the match with Cena before he hangs it up for good, so, if this can get him there, I won't complain.

I kinda have trouble believing this. The way the story is being set up, it really feels like this is it for him.

Yeah, that's what I say. Plus it's fine when it's with HHH, but the other superstars that are wrestling all year long are going to end up looking pretty bad when they lose to him at Wrestlemania.

Well, that and I guess they could gimmick up a Taker-Sting bout. That'd be good. But Taker-Cena can be both a very good match and a huge atmosphere.

That's why you have whoever he's against next challenge him ASAP. You have them tell UT to rest up and train up, because they're coming for him. Taker wins? He's had a full year to prepare with a 100% singular focus for the guy.

Doesn't shock me. I fully expect him to face Cena next year at Wrestlemania. As far as lasting past WM 30 there's not a chance of that happening I'm afraid.
As far as him wrestling once a year, I actually don't mind it. It creates more attraction for his matches at Wrestlemania.

I doubt that. Undertaker's been built to a point where he'll always be seen as a credible threat to beat anyone, no matter how much time he takes off. Fans generally accept it. The same tends to go for anyone in that kind of position - HHH, Rock, Hogan, etc.

Showing up once a year to steal the Wrestlemania spot of some deserving young talent? What a sell-out. He acts like wrestling is beneath him or something. I bet he doesn't even go around shaking the hands of young up-and-comers backstage. I hate him.

Goddammit, I really don't want to see him for a few more years. The novelty of showing up for one match that he's likely to win just gets boring.

I just got a mental image of Generation Me screwing around with his trenchcoat and his Satan robe, and Taker walking in and taping his fists.

As long as he continues to draw money, I expect he'll keep showing up once a year.
Anyone for 30-0?

After this year maybe he'll disappear again. Come out on Raw next year to say he's retiring as there's no one left to beat. Cena interrupts. Cena v Taker at WM. Then he retires.

I hope this is it for him. His time is past.
That really isn't fair to others on the card if he only shows up once a year to wrestle at Wrestlemania in one of the main-events and bumping other guys off/down the card who deserve it because they pull their weight year round.

The same tends to go for anyone in that kind of position - HHH, Rock, Hogan, etc. Fans accept it because it's been HHH for the past 2 years, someone who also hasn't been wrestling regularly. If it were someone like Cena, who's been wrestling all year long is the one losing to Taker, I could see some fans getting upset over it. Especially when you consider how obvious it is that Taker isn't in the best of physical conditions.
