That really reminds me of the old WWE Magazine articles.

The bellas (actually one of them, dunno which one) and Eve, while beeing far from good, have learned to string a few moves without botching so I can they're at least trying. That said, it's still not even remotely enough unless they get carried by Beth or Natalya. KK is the worst female wrestler in the roster and she makes every move look fake and unconvincing.
The reason why WWE openly buries those "models" and praises the talented heels on their very own homepage is because even the over divas don't sell merchandise or draw at all, they are basically watched by channel surfers who wouldn't pay a penny for them and the live audience is also more cheering them in a "she's hot, it's nice having her swing her butt for a few minutes" instead of "damn she's talented, I'm gonna pay the ticket for her next PPV match too".

I'm going to repost what I said on Diva-Dirt (Which actually got me my very first "^THIS" response.) This whole thing is just stupid, because Trish Stratus, who I am constantly seen named as the bechmark for women wrestling, was a model before her wrestling career. The problem isn’t that some of the Divas are former models, the problem is they’re not being trained correctly. Contrast them to Michelle McCool. McCool trained in Deep South Wrestling back when it was a developmental territory. She was trained by Bill DeMott, and is arguably the best Diva in-ring performer WWE has had since Trish If they really want to “save” the division, ask Trish and/or Michelle McCool to be a trainer in FCW. We all saw how just spending about a year paired up with Michelle improved Layla’s in ring work. Imagine what would happen if they were taught like that from the very beginning. I agree, it isn't a model thing. Victoria was a model too, and by the end she was considered one of the best workers in the division. And yeah, it is a fan thing. Looks play such a large roll for everyone, but where guys looks might take a back seat to other skills, for the divas, they don't. There's been exactly 1 female worker signed lately who didn't fit that description. And while others might have skills, or might have developed them, you know that's not the first thing they look at.

Maybe they should stop...I dunno, releasing tenured divas before they put over new talent?
Who did Mickie put over on the way out? Michelle? Melina? Gail? Maria?
That's what I thought~

Is that even frickin' English? I can't make out 3/4ths of that crap the Bellas are spewing. The only way people will care about the Divas again is to give them more time on TV. This 60-90 second match stuff has got to go and isn't doing them any favors in being taken seriously. (I'm still pointing at the "less-than-2-minute" 14-Diva tag match where only 3 Divas got any ring time and people like Nattie didn't even bother to take her ring jacket off.) Throw them out there for 5-6 minutes, get the crowd involved and interested in their matches. Either take it to a new height or drop it. I'm tired of the same argument week after week. The thing is, with the limited abilities these divas have, would you really want to see them in a 5-10 minute match? I know I would not want to see Kelly, the Bellas, Rosa in longer matches. I love how the divas of doom completely squashes the divas champ and Alicia Fox, who I think she has improved, on Smackdown.

And she's right; it's just as much, if not more, the WWE's fault as it is the Divas. They don't give them any time, they don't give them proper training, and on top of that, they release the good ones. Completely in agreement.

Mickie put over both of LayCool - she did the job for Layla in her last match.

Mickie's last WWE match had her getting pinned by Layla in a tag match, so she unknowingly put over Layla, since that was filmed before her release.

WWE lost their way with the divas when Trish and Lita both left. Maybe WWE should ask themselves why it was so easy for their two biggest female stars to walk away in their primes and never look back. The company didn't make much of an effort to keep them, either. Point being, if those two were not considered important enough to resign, the company really shouldn't complain when people like Gail Kim quit, girls like Maria and Stacy want to branch out, or their current models don't bother to improve.
WWE doesn't take their divas seriously, so most of the divas don't take wrestling seriously. Simple as that.

Here's the thing with "models": Trish Stratus worked her ass off, went to every training session and even sought outside training so that she could improve. Similar story with "model" Victoria. Eve trains in MMA in her off hours. Meanwhile, the Bellas supposedly whined that they weren't on the main roster and threatened to walk if they weren't brought up from developmental immediately. So yeah, the Bellas annoy the hell out of me. You work hard, great, have a cookie. But seriously, WWE's philosophy has got them into this mess. Too many girls, not enough training, complete lack of focus, being to afraid to develop the "model girls'" skills for fear that they couldn't withstand the training, hiring "talented women" only to job them to the models or keep them off TV entirely because they don't want them overshadowing the girls they want to push. The "pretty girls" have their place in wrestling, and even Trish and Lita weren't the greatest technicians in the world. The differences between that era and this one were that things were a lot more focused creatively and that the girls got a lot help with training and development.

CM Punk had it right - the article was clearly about the TV storyline, which is an attempt to get the girls TV time. The Bellas have taken it the wrong way.

If the Divas don't like not getting time to wrestle, they should do what Gail Kim did and quit. And the women on the indies who don't like what WWE does should avoid WWE like the plauge unless they are willing to be miserable for money.

Del Rey got told by TNA that if she wanted to be hired, she'd have to look "more like the Beautiful People" - she also knows all about the "you have to look like you're in Playboy" attitude that the WWE has, and doesn't think she's the sort of person they want. Which benefits the indies, but WWE are seriously missing out.

The divas are mad about an in house article on wwe.com that is potentially designed to garner them attention/TV time? Awesome. Looks like @natbynature and @thebethphoenix are also #pinupsmart. As if we needed more proof that CM Punk is awesome! Although he may be a bit biased.

The differences between that era and this one were that things were a lot more focused creatively and that the girls got a lot help with training and development. The thing is, though, that the only reason that "era" ended is because WWE allowed it to. They brought in more bikini models, fired the good workers, and let Trish and Lita's contracts expire without making any great effort to resign them. That's why the search for the next "Trish and Lita" will never be realized, because as soon as they find them, they'll be on their way out the door. How about appreciating your talent when they are actually around?
