Wouldn't the contract he was working on mean this type of announcement would be unnecessary (in real life?). It would be like Virgil during his last run getting the "future endeavors" line. I think it's probably a way to get the "Mr. Future Endeavors" line on television.

C'mon, he's Triple H's bud. He'd have to have an affair with Stephanie to get released; hell, Triple H probably wanted him to, lol, All those McMahons are freaks .

I like the "New Kayfabe" we're getting now. Where they're blurring what's work and shoot in a good way to make Wrestling....i dunno....more real? That said, I don't doubt the release is legit, I think either they s***canned him for legitimate health issues or refusing to job (again) though. They got him into a legends/likeness dealie, used him for the game/promotion/etc and let him go. The thing is, it's a good concept, but you can only pull the trigger on it so many times before people catch on that they're being worked, just in a new way.

He's in WWE '12, so I doubt it's legit. ...The series that is always about a year out of date when a new game is released.

I know that you're joking but HHH isn't an official McMahon, so I like to think that he has some level of decency. If anything Steph Vince wanted Diesel to truck HHH.

Actually, Chavo, Husky Harris, Kozlov, and Melina are really about it for this year. So far.

He's in WWE '12, so I doubt it's legit. I remember so many people being in games even when they were released. Okay, I'm a maroon. But I still doubt it's legitability for one second. {Spoiler}Nash interferes at NoC, Punk loses.

There are equal points that could make me believe this is real or fake. Guess we'll have to wait for NOC to find out.

I like the "New Kayfabe" we're getting now. Where they're blurring what's work and shoot in a good way to make Wrestling....i dunno....more real? Seconded. They're really screwing with the online fans (the only fans who would really care about this sort of thing), and it's great. Although, IMO, and I'm pretty sure this is obvious to anyone who is reading this, this is 100% kayfabed. You can see the end result at NoC coming from a mile away.

A few days ago the WWE Facebook page had a poll asking if fans wanted Nash to "bring back the nWo", so maybe that's where this is heading. Also, as someone else pointed out, Laurinaitis left with him, so it's doubtful it's real. However, he can't wrestle and his mic work has sucked, so it could easily be real, too.

To me it shows though that they're willing to try to USE this "Internet" thing (Ryder's Promo Vid, NXT......sorta, THIS) rather than actively working against it.

Seriously, I'm hoping this is a work. IMO, HHH really needs this win at NoC- even more than Punk does.
It makes no sense for WWE to just pull the plug on COOHHH so soon, unless the "true mastermind" of the text and conspiracy is going to be revealed immediantly afterwards. And if HHH isn't the "big bad" in this feud or at least in cahoots with him/her/it, Punk risks looking like an R-Truth level paranoid idiot.

Punk has said "oh, this is going to happen, you're in cohoots" so if Nash runs in and Punk still loses, well, he's smart enough to see it coming but not good enough to do anything about it. If Trips loses, then they've run through it all, but if Trips wins, then Punk has only won due to flukes during this whole angle, which really doesn't scram main eventer. Pretty much, I know Trips is winning, and that there will be mad shenanigans, but I just wish they would have, as I've ragged on Russo for many many times, thought long term rather than "ok, we can get through this in two months".

Well, if not Nash, I'd be happy with someone else unexpected interfering to give HHH the win. There's no chance of a clean result either way, so I'm not worried about Punk looking weak in the process as he'd be losing through excessive cheating.
