Now most of us agree that both of the movies mentioned above are pretty god-awful. Still, if you were forced to watch just one, which one would you pick and why? Personally, I would go with "Superman IV." Sure, it's completely horrible, but at least I sit through it.
Note: "I'd watch neither," or "just kill me now people" are not viable options. You actually have to pick one or the other.

"DESTROY SUPERMAN......NOW!"
At least Nuclear Man looks kinda like the dude from Whitesnake.

Batman and Robin is so bad it's good.
Superman 4 is just bad.
I'm not going to skate around the issue. Batman and Robin is cool

Superman IV at least still has Christopher Reeve, who is still golden as Superman despite the horrible script, villain, and special effects. It gets my vote because he still makes the movie watchable. I don't think I've ever been able to sit through an entire showing of Batman and Robin.

Batman and Robin just based on things like production values alone, Quest for Peace looks like ass even by the standards of when it was made.

While my brother and I were picking on Batman & Robin the other day my cousin said... "Wait, I love that movie." We stared at him thinking he was kidding. Then he said "The one with Mr. Freeze right?" so we said "Yeah." He then told us, "Yeah that was a good movie."
Turned out he was dead serious.
I then told him he's not allowed to talk with us about movies anymore.

Superman 4 is a bad movie you can watch and laugh at. Batman and Robin is a bad movie you watch and think, "....I really should clean my bathroom".

Superman IV is like a bullet to the brain. Batman and Robin is a lethal dose of poison.
I'll take the bullet.

I still enjoy the camp style from the West show and The Superfriends version of Batman, so I enjoyed Batman & Robin far more than I should have.

I love how any thread remotely related to B&R ends up with people starting to list all the ice puns there are in that film. Makes dealing with work and a failing relationship easier to cope with

I voted Superman IV as better, but only because Christopher was such a great Superman. Batman & Robin meanwhile was stuck with just about nothing. Both movies are abysmal, but in the end, Reeves' presence helped Superman IV suck just a little bit less.
Not exactly high praise for a movie, though.

Superman IV at least works on the level of a bad Superman story (sort of in the same way that Star Trek Nemesis works on the level of a bad Star Trek story. Batman and Robin is an abysmal failure on EVERY level.
