So, with WCW's RAGE IN THE CAGE tonight, I thought a quick recapping of the major storylines would be a good idea.
Scott Steiner VS Kevin Nash for the WCW title should be good. I know there are rumors out there that Nash tore both his quads this weekend in a walking accident, but as long as he sticks to basic offense he should be fine. I do have to wonder, what kind of CRAZY antics will come about with Vince Russo as guest ref, Ric Flair as outside enforcer, and Sid declaring that he will walk out of the PPV as champ?!
Now granted WCW hasn't actually announced any other matches for tonight, or built up any storylines on TV, but I think we can infer a little bit.
Sting issued an open challenge for the US title that was answered by none other than HORACE HOGAN!!!! I'm assuming this will go down tonight, and you know that's gonna be a good match!
But what I'm really interested in is the Tag Title situation. Now right now we have the Nasty Boys as the champs, going on their third year of holding the belts. But I feel like their time's almost up! On Thunder this week we saw Kofi Johnson and Harry Johnson (aka former indy talent Matt Sydal) team up as "The Johnsons". But no offense, if I want to see a chocolate and vanilla midget on TV I'll watch Vince McMahon's little promotion he started up to try and take grab some fans (yeah right Vince, you ain't never getting above a 1.1 rating!!!).
And what does everybody think about the current NWO situation? I thought I'd get tired of the story after 15 years, but I have to admit, NWO RED and NWO BLUE really put a new spin on things!

They'd have gone out of business within a year or two anyway because they were burning through money and were run by morons.

Well yeah obviously but just run with it, I think this could be a fun thread. Now what does everybody think about Eric Bischoff hiring Goldberg again? I mean, I think Goldberg can still go in the ring, and he'd actually be one of the younger main eventers, but I dunno. Every since they had the Invasion storyline, it feels like he kind of ran his course. I mean, after you beat The Giant, the Big Red Show, and Mean Mark Calloway in a handicap match, where else is there to go?

Do you think Flex Kavana is ever getting a main event push?

Nitro should be good tomorrow.
I have a feeling that the COO Bill Goldberg will screw over CM Punk.
I've heard a rumour that Bischoff will be back though. The WCW board of directors have reinstated him.

I miss the AWA Brand.
Sure it wasn't really true to the spirit of Verne's original company, but damn if it didn't make good use of their talent.

They'd have gone out of business within a year or two anyway because they were burning through money and were run by morons. More than likely, Jamie Kellner would have cancelled Nitro and Thunder and WCW would have gone for sale in 2001. However, I would assume that WCW doesn't become the $80 million money pit it did in 2000 without Vince breathing down their neck, and someone like Fusient or SFX actually buys the company.

We had a few weak episodes to start off (I probably wouldn't have had Greg Gagne win the AWA title on the first night, but I understand they were following Verne's wishes there) but it got good really fast. I like the special "Vintage" episode where the Rockers reunited to take on the New Rockers of Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder. That was a heck of a good match. Plus it was great for revitalizing the careers of Dustin Rhodes and Steven Regal.

I'm just glad the figured ot Kevin Nash is injury prone and should never be involved in another main event storyline ever again.
